The End of my Pocket Legends career (+giveaway!)

Hello everyone who may or may not know who I am! For those who don't, a quick summary:

I downloaded PL in early April of '10, but stopped playing after maybe a month. Three months later, I came back to find a new release of AO2! The releases of both that and AO3 were the highlights of my days playing PL. And I've played often, losing interest on and off up until now. I've put a lot of time into it and I'm satisfied at where I've come to.


Okay, I'm not "quitting" persay. I'll be giving away all my items and money, but I'll still frequent the forums and do some PL now and again just to check out new content, potentially. I've become quite interested in SL, so you can find me on there often, storming my Commando through space. :D

1. A lv60 Strongman Glyph mace set + 2h
2-4. 800k cash each to 3 people.

How can you win it? Simple. Write in your post here why you should be given it. You can appeal to anything, seriously! Write whatever you want; you could demend it if you want. I have no idea what I'm looking for, but I will choose what I determine as the best written (whether due to humor, a wise answer, whatever) to receive the Strongman set. Then three runners-up will receive the gold, at an even distribution. :)

Hey Nightarcher!
I have only been playing PL for about 3-4 months and am always struggling to find money!
I farm often at Nuri's and I feel very unlucky because a lot of the time people in my group get pinks but not me. I know it sounds silly, but in RL I always seem to bring good luck to the people around me but never to myself! This ALWAYS happens at the casino haha. Nonetheless, if you are giving away some gear/cash I would love to get involved! XD

Parth, I remember how you convinced me to keep my cash for a Fortified set last time I was going to give it all away. I cincerely thank you for how fun you've made PL for me! And I'm giving it away rather than a major contest for a selfish reason: giving gives me gratification. I may not be an uber rich merchant, as smart as Physiologic, nor as hardcore as Yanis, but this makes me feel like I contribute to the community. :)

I think you should just take a break, hate to see people leave, seriously, even if we've never grouped, I feel like a family member has moved.

If you we're to award me a cash prize, I would save some for my end game gear or whatever it is I keep being told I'll need money for. But I would use it to help those in need out, we all run into them, not in balefort begging, but in group and they can barely chat. I'm currently level 48 Mage in PL same name as forums.

You know what i change my mind i don't think you should pick me because of my bad luck in pocket legends everybodys had it at some point. I've only been playing for a few months and have met some really cool people and had really good times like when i first got my mystery set all my friends were like "how'd you get that?" Then we'd go do the quests together and we'd all walk around thinking we were good with our sets not even knowing about shadow cave sets.

To me this is pretty much a contest to see who can make up some reason for why they should get your strongmans set or even your money that you worked hard to get and if i could get all that you can bet i's be holdin on to it. If you really wanna give something to me i would greatly greatly greatly appreciate it cause it would be another thing i have to remember about pl and when my time here ended i would do the same thing you are doing now.

If you don't pick me i of course understand. But please don't do this to make a rich player richer, if i had a a 800k gold right now i would be pretty happy. If one of the rich people from the forums gets it they would end up throwin it in their stash just to have millions of gold..

I would be honored to receive any of the mentioned prizes. Why do I deserve it? I've played this game for well over a year and I've always loved it... however I've never really caught a break... I've always played fair and by the rules, however I own less than 300K and I can only afford mediocre gear for my characters... any of the 4 prizes your offering would help me catch a huge break, and id be overwhelming enjoyed. I can't really afford plat right now, and this game is a nice break from reality, although recently I've been forced into considering quitting because ever since I've played I've been the guy getting conned or getting bad deals... if I got ANY of the prizes I could stay out of the market for awhile because id have enough gold to afford all the gear ill need for a long time... from one player to another, I really need this.. although I never get big breaks so I really doubt ill win anything and this probably will never even reach you... well thanks if you consider me for a prize and thanks if you even read this... have a good day...

You know Night, i don't know you at all, nor do you know me, but already i'm quite sad to see such a great person leaving our community, but there comes a point in ones life when they realize some things come to an end, and others begin and thrive. I hope i can share the same honor as Parth and everybody else who has been able to share their time with you, in SL one day. I love the fact that you want to give all of your stuff away to better the community, BUT i urge you to keep your gear and money, as my few friends in this game can attest to, i don't play a whole lot, but when i do, and when i play actively, i have a ton of fun, whether its bugging Parth or trying to talk to some french dude i met the other day, or doing runs with my guild, once a month or once every hour, i still have fun. Everybody needs a break, so take one, keep your stuff, and come back and play with us again when you regain your interest <3

I'm not interested in ya money but if you want your set to go to a good home. I can make sure trustworthy multiple toons get good use out of it. Also as soon as STS implement shared stashes for loaning/retrieving items it'll be loaned out to whoever needs it.

hey, i'm a regular pvp'r. I am in the guild called "chicken INvasion". I farmed a couple of glyph items. This allowed me to create a profit of 2.2 mil. I used this 2.2 mil to purchase some glyph armor for my int/str mage. Sadly, this overwhelming amount of gold in cs was not enough for me to purchase a big top or storgman's set. I now have strongman's armor, shield and helm. I am missing the mace. I will be entering the official ctf tourney this week with a team from chicken invasion and a complete set would help ease my learning curve. Plus, if you choose me for your glyph set, I promise to pass on my fortunes to another poor soul by giving them my unused glyph items ^.^ . Thanks, hypr.

I thought I wasn't going to enter, but I've been running dreadfully close to bankrupt with funds for the crafted sets, so I might as well take a shot at it.

While I might not be the best candidate for this set, I will definitely put it to good use. How so? I plan on using the set as my base to start crafting it into demonic. The set will serve me will in the CTF Tourney and hopefully bring COT the win that it needs, afterwards it should provide me with lots of joy in both PvP, PvE, and lending to trustworthy friends.
