View Full Version : Chat scroll down button is missing for me

When the chat is open, I can only scroll the chat up and not down. Please don't tell me to open the chat and I will be able to scroll. This happens when the chat is already open. There simply is no down arrow for the chat anymore since the interface got changed to be like SL.
My Touch 4G. Android 2.3.4.

Spam a few messages so you have enough chat to cause it to scroll and the other button will show up.

Just tried this on my iPad while in Balefort castle town. The scroll down button is there, but it can be a little hard to hit at first.

Yes, mine too... I took a screen shot and will post later, but the scroll down button is under and between two of my skill mapped making it very difficult to hit the scroll down. I'm using an iPad.

What Hao said. This is the case for me too. Maybe shorten the chat horizontally or something? When the skills are expanded there isn't much room, but at least make it scrollable with not expanded skills? Or make the skills disappear when typing in the chat? Seems simple enough. I can't take a screen because I'm not rooted.
Just looked closely, and it's actually in the rightmost row, under the second skill from the top. Just barely visible, and can't be used.

Hey guys, i'm having the same problem on my tablet. Here's some screenshots to show what the issue is. Can this please be fixed? Once you scroll up there's no way to go back down again. It's pretty annoying.
Below, you can see that the down arrow for chat is hidden behind one of my skill buttons. Whether the skills are expanded or not. If the chat box can be shortened a little it would help! :)

On another note, not entirely unrelated but I often find myself accidently pressing the quest box button that is just above the joystick. Pretty frustrating...

Same on Galaxy Tab 7", scroll down button hidden by second-from-top rightmost skill. I don't post pic because it resembles the Navygreen one.

Thx everyone for posting that you have this issue. Btw, I am using the Galaxy Tab 10.1 if that matters to STS. Im not sure if these issues are device specific or not.

Edit: Maybe program the game so that the skill buttons are hidden when the chat box is open and when we close chat box, the skills reappear? Maybe?

Good screens Navy. Looks exactly like mine, except different soft keyboard. Also I made the same suggestion, to hide the skills. We think alike.
Guess starting the thread and describing the issue isn't worth a like.

Oh cool :) Well thanks for reporting the issue. I had a horrible time chatting with it lol. I get soooo many whispers. It was horrible, I couldn't go back down to the most recent chats lol. Anyway, thanks Bronis!

You have to press back (for android devices), the keyboard will disappear but chat will remain open, you can scroll down from then :)

I have the same problem on Ipad.
This should be fixed as of the update today. Please let us know if you find otherwise =)

But anyways on iPhone screen, scroll down button is 1/4 under writing area, and least with my fat thumb it need little aiming to hit button instead of text area/miss the button.

Fat thumb hahahahaha! Seriously i would have a problem even writing on iPhone or any phone screen O.o
That is why i use tabs! :)
