View Full Version : Aura pet's need to attack a target to activate their aura's?

I've wondered this for some time. Why do aura pets like samael or mishi need to attack a target to activate their aura's? Why can't they just have the aura's active once you enter a PvE or PvP map? The exceptions of the aura's can be in towns and houses. is there a reason for this or the topic was never really brought up?

Also, if my memory serves me right, the aura's switch off when you go afk for a while. Can't it just stay active?

Also also, shouldn't Mishi and Hisha have those whisker things their dragon kind usually has? ;)

A developer response or player response(s) would be nice :tranquillity:

Please make it so the aura is activated upon entering a PvE or PvP map! Sometimes it goes off when you're afk and sometimes it goes off mid combat, fix that too please! Let it stay active till you exit the map.

;) I believe mishi and hisha are baby dragons so only adult dragons would have the whisker things.

it is currently on dealing actual damage to an enemy in PvE or PvP by design. This serves two purposes:

1) Not creating unnecessary particles in town

2) Preventing a low level Pet that has an aura (Like Samael) from doing its passive healing in zones that they do not match the level of the content

Thats cool but couldn't it just activate upon entering a PvE or PvP map (excluding towns)?

I don't get number 2 sorry, could you explain this a bit more please? :/

EDIT - you mean like for example, a level 20 mishi won't activate the aura in the mausoleum because its level doesn't match the level of the mobs? Or a level 20 mishi won't activate the aura in Breckenridge because it is much higher level than the mobs?

Correct, in your example a level 20 Mishi will not activate its aura becuase it does not do any damage to those mobs

Oh ok thanks but shouldn't that mean it would be ok to apply the auto activating aura to PvP maps (excluding duels)? Or would that just cause system complications?

Speaking of PvP, any hint on when guild battlegrounds will be live? ;) **please say its after Halloween**

I agree that since PvP maps already take care of the matchmaking situation regarding the level of the players, the aura should be automatic in those maps.

Breckenridge is nott the right example for this situation. A better example would be a level 10 pet in Underhl elite. as the pet isn't able to deal damage the aura isn't activated.
Wasn't it an example for mausoleum?

That's nice and all but can't it just happen in PvP then?
