Can't craft with platinum purchased recipe?

My friend told me that he purchased a recipe via plat and it wouldn't allow him to craft his auto bow. So he bought the recipe via gold from cs and he crafted the bow. Has anyone else noticed a problem with plat recipes not crafting demonic glyph? Or is it just auto?

I haven't tried crafting as I lack the ingredients, but on int recipes, all of them show red, which means that you can't craft with them.

There are two parts, the normal crafting area that requires gold or boss dropped recipies. Or the easier craft for platinum one is where the plat bought recipied should work. It seems to work ok for me.
