ok, so as a few know, Im using a warbird, hence the name WarTornBird (try hard name:D) I'm not understanding why I can't equip items of my level. Say I want to use redfangs forest chain, I need to be level 14 with 42 str. But at 14 I'm only 37 str. So is there anyway I should be putting my points? I put 5 on dex then 5 on str and so on for each level.

You need to have all points equaling 42 for str. for you to use it.
Warbirds are normally all str. If you have dex and str. You are dual spec. Which I don't suggest.

The stats that are said when you edit are the true base stats. The base stats are what you follow. If the requirement is 120 str. Make sure your str is 120. I recommend for warbird to have as much dexterity as possible. Enjoy! :)

Not really. I have all points on dex. Having points on both just makes it harder to equip items from str or dex class. But with points on both, you can use str items and dex items. Like Leather armor with a hatchet

Thanks Apollo but I'm just gonna go with all strength x)

I'd suggest if you're a Warbird going all out Str. Otherwise you're not a warbird. You're dual spec.

Your skill damage and survivability is going to be down the drain with all strength though, not to mention hit percent. Are you completely sure? Trust me, if you go all strength expect to be booted a lot. They aren't very helpful in parties.

Well he said, I think, in an earlier post that he's PvP oriented. Most warbirds stop at 35 anyway, so.

I strongly suggest dual, or dex str hybrid. But then again, I'm always against pure str. Never hits anything =\ Birds have 66% base hit, with the +30 hit buff from max focus, your hit goes to 96, 2 hit from a face, and 2 hit from a ring (given you'll choose a hit face and ring), you'll end up with 100, hit not taking gear into consideration. Unbuffed, you'll probably be around 75% hit, which isn't enough IMO. And that's not even taking the skill damage into consideration. Str or not, birds are meant to deal damage. Hard to deal damage when your hit is low. My apologies if some of the numbers are off, having used a bird in quite some time:p

In PvP he is more likely to die a lot as a pure strength warbird. If there is anything I know in PvP; it is the bears and birds.

I don't suggest all str for warbirds. Just use enough str for the gear you need, and put the rest into dex to increase your hit% and skill damage output.

Ninja! You gave a much better explanation than I did though ;).

Half and half my friend. Dex goes further for you in the long run. When most people dual spec, it's usually the other half being dex or a high percentage of it. That alone should tell you something.

True, I've never used a warbird so I wouldn't have the faintest clue as to what is good from them and what isn't even mediocre.

i suggest not becoming warbird until the 20-35 range.
i also dont suggest pure str warbird it wont work out well :/
put as much str to equip items and then put the rest in dex.

Yes, but not sure if you missed the point. Duel spec will benefit you in PvP. All str bird will get you killed because of debuffs. Your already low hit percent will be lower. This will result in your ability to miss often, following a young bird's demise. That's what I'm trying to say. :) In order to survive, it's not all about defense in this game. A bird's defense is it's offense. Just a tip for ya.

Nah, just a normal player that is very talkative. :) Thanks for the compliments though. You seem like the type of person that I would love to do runs with some day.

Very welcome. You sound like the kind of player I'd like to learn from though.
