GOODBYE POST

Greetings fellow Alorians and loyal guildmates from ER! As a bringer of usually positive news, unfortunately today I can say with the greatest regret that ER has decided that it has come full circle to what appears as an ending of sorts. It wasn’t an easy decision amongst oficers, and many alternatives were already taken into consideration. We as a guild have persevered through Elites true to our name, terrible economies, and unreachable Arcane items. Throughout time, we’ve formed many bonds of friendships amongst ourselves as well as with other guilds.

Due to our high standards of recruitment followed by less than true Elite maps to actually farm after, member activity has been on a steady decline leaving few active players online at any given time and parties were exceptionally difficult to form. Additionally, many life changes as well as personal choices within the game or in real life have taken a toll on even our oldest Veterans within the guild. If they haven’t already retired, certainly seeing a lack of people to run with would push them to do so.

Fret not, we have a contingency plan! It wasn’t an easy one, but what we thought would be best and most fair to our still active players would to be a guild merge. I know, “Why not just rebuild our guild with new members” you say? Well, in a way we are! Only that it’s a reverse way of thinking and we would be the new members to another guild! After thoughtful searching, we have selected Enigmatic for our new home as their philosophy of farming is most reflective of our own. They have been more than kind to welcome us all with open arms! Positions are still being discussed to aid in the smoothest hiatus of our guild. It is our hope that every member, recruiter, and officer will join in with our relocation such that we can form full parties at any given time again.

Now that that’s out of the way, it wouldn’t be right not to have a few special mentions about the leaders and history of our guild! ER was originally founded by Ruff for one basic reason: To run Elite mode where most other players had avoided because it was next to impossible. Alrisaia took over 6 months after and basically started the Bible on farming elites. I still remember her great blender technique! Queenotshade for taking over and running many successful contests! Extrapayah for running the guild and hosting challenges! Trollkille for managing and making tough decisions during our darkest days. Although never a guild master, Kalizz proved to be DEV level who finished writing that Elite Bible and made us farm it everyday for a month. Evidence that ER will live on forever will be through the Elite Journeyman vanity as well as Elite Runner Chests.

ER coming full circle is far from being the end. If anything it is the start of something new and if running the hardest maps has taught us anything, it’s to always keep evolving and adapting to even the greatest challenges.

Consider to join if

You like to run elite/endgame maps
It is hard for you to find a party to run elite/endgame maps
You enjoy the social aspect of the game and you like to communicate with other people.
You are capped and you fulfill the criteria written on requirements sheet/table.
You have reasonable gear to run elite/endgame maps.
You are patient and know what to do in the game if you can't get a party right now.
You speak at least basic English, although our members cover many languages, including, but not limited to, Spanish, Korean, Malay, Indonesian, Tagalog, Italian, French, Russian, Croatian, Czech…


We may not be the right guild for you if

You want to join only because of some hard elite APs.
You don't like to listen to well-meant advice, particularly regarding your build and skill use.
You want to join with one of your alts and hop between guilds. We value loyalty very much.
You are low level and constantly ask for help to level up.
You are inactive in PvE and only require party for PvP.
You think that fancy gear makes you a better player.
You use guild chat for excessive trading, merch up/down, boasting, and other irrelevant outbursts.
You like to bring drama or trashtalk within guild chat.
You like to scam.


Important Notes

Plea
Even though officers and recruiters are committed to help you, but please remember that we're also human being behind the computer/phone, we might be down or not at the happiest moment in life, so please be considerate of us and don't spam with unnecessary private message, friend requests, or blind invites.
We enjoy very low fluctuation of members. We do not like guild-hoppers and so please do not join us if you only need some hard-core elite APs. This will be quickly recognized and your calls for runs may be ignored. We put most of our efforts into loyal members. Also, although our presence in PvP is increasing, we are still primarily PvE guild. If you are a PvPer, you are likely to find a party for it, however this is not a rule. If you leave our guild, don't expect us to take you back easily. We usually give a second chance, but we are reluctant to give you the third or fourth chance. We invest lots of time and pots into every member.


Partying Policy

As a default, ankh is mandatory in a party, especially on hard maps, hard pulls, and hard bosses. If you don't have ankhs, you have to inform your party before running a map!
Please refrain from moving between parties in the middle of running a map
In case of running energy-based events, please don't be picky with what boss is spawned


PvP Code of Conduct
Given that couple of good PvPers joined our guild recently, we are not ignoring PvP world anymore. We want to provide our members with additional fun and fair PvP clash.

No ganging. Of course killing the last player in a fair 5 vs 5 battle is not considered ganging.
No trash talking. Remember that you represent Elite Runners in PvP and that any trash talk may be punished by booting you from the guild.
Respect every member in the PvP room even if he is an opponent. Kill, but don't humiliate the enemy.
Wear the guild title all the time.
You may attack or get attacked by guild member if he is on enemy side. If you don't want to fight your guildie or your friend, leave the session, don't block the spot.
We are not paranoid about your KDR. Fight for fun.


Guild Battleground Policy

Elite Runners will not routinely actively send challenges
Elite Runners will try to always accept any wagerless challenges
After accepting challenge, participants will be decided by first come first served policy, taking classes combination as a main consideration, the ratio will be either 1:1:1, or 2:1:2 (warrior:rogue:sorcerer), or any close enough ratio
For actively sending challenge or accepting wagered challenge, a team coordinator can submit application to guildmaster/temporary guild master, with team members and wager prepared beforehand
Guild will pay the cost of sending active challenge no more than once a day, more than that, team coordinator will have to provide all the cost

General Recruiting Policy

Contact us to try out. Please PM any officers/recruiters to try out.
We will request you to join our party so we can inspect your stats.
If your stats are up to standard (not a hard standard, but does filter many people who are not elite material), we will take you on an elite run to test your current skill.
Based on the run(s) performance, the officers/recruiters in the party will either invite you to the guild or tell you what is preventing your current acceptance (this is constructive criticism and is not intended to insult you).
If you failed, you may try it again, take your time to improve, and contact officers/recruiters again..
Exceptions are to be made and subject to recruiters/officers you are contacting, but we never ask for gold/items for compensation, if you find any, please report to other officers

What do we expect from test runs
General

Minimal amount of potions and ankhs for emergency use

From Warrior

Have initiative in leading pulls
Have decent skill build for holding aggro/attention from mobs and boss, known effective skills are: chest splitter, windmill, and horn of renew
Minimum skill build:

Chest Splitter, with Staggering Blow
Horn of Renew, with Increased Range, Increased Duration, and Protective Shield

Situational skill build to be switched over:

Axe Throw, with Denting Blow, Concussion, and Chained Bait, for boss fights and situation where you need to pull enemies.
Skyward Smash, with Thundering Hammer, for a map where AoE damage is necessary
Windmill, with Increased Radius, Prolonged Spin, and Mastery, for a map where AoE damage is necessary
Vengeful Blood, with Acute Strike, Savage Strike, Focus Rage, and Adrenalline Surge, for a map where 4 offensive skills are needed
Juggernaut, with Ignore Pain, Second Wind, and Unstoppable, for hard maps or maps with too many disabling enemies


From Rogue

Have initiative in focus-killing dangerous enemies
Have decent skill build in generating huge instant damage, known effective skills are: aimed shot, shadow pierce
Minimum skill build:

Aimed Shot, with Accuracy, Critical Shot, Deadly Focus, and Shatter Armor
Shadow Piercer
Noxious Bolt, with Fragmentation

Situational skill build to be switched over:

Razor Shield, with Whirling Razors, Increased Duration, and Spinning Freedom, used for defensive skill and anti-disabling-debuff skill
Trap, with Adept Construction and Net Retraction, used for supporting team with crowd control
Shadow Storm Shot, with Spreading Shadow, Shadow Focus, Dark Damage, Shadow Touch, and Mastery, used in maps where 4 offensive skills are necessary
Combat Medic, for very easy maps where you need to run it costless to gain profit in farming


From Sorcerer

Have general knowledge of crowd control, which mobs can be/need to be stunned, frozen, or rooted
Have basic knowledge and understanding with avoiding unnecessary aggro, e.g. not using heal over time in hard maps
Minimum skill build:

Fireball, with Engulf, and Impact
Frost Bolt, with Shiver
Time Shift, with Freeze Time

Situational skill build to be switched over:

Win a duel against any officers/recruiters and you can be a combatant
For many reasons regarding build, skill, and preferences, officers/recruiters have all the rights to refuse the duel, but we can make you sure that few higher ups are always ready to accept duel

Members can apply to become a recruiter, eligible applicants are members who:

Have a registered spacetimestudios forum account with minimum of 15 posts, you can register it here (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/register.php)
Have a minimum of one(1) month guild membership
Have participated in helping ten(10) recruitment runs

Applications will be announced here, and will have probation time of 1 week, and later will be assessed by officers

Officers' Recommendation
Officers can also recommend a member to become recruiter after some notable contribution to guild with activity, assisting new guildies, and involved in recruitment runs

We don't usually promote officers, but there will be public announcement here and necessary probation period

This is the second guild i felt like I'm in right place. My first long lived guild was <You You You> stayed about 1year then had to leave it when I came back after a long break i saw most of my best friend from that guild left game :( and GM had to leave for some important reason, however he is back now before 2days i think he will enjoy game now his ign was bootiful.

The thing I do like about Elite Runners is they never discriminate between member or officers. All do get same respect and responsibilities. Enjoyed the beta match since we are pve still won some of the pvp guilds credits szag and interspar. I wish I was here since i started AL :)

There are some really nice people in this guild. Aigisz is one of the nicest tanks you'll ever meet and always has pt invites, which I kinda snipe lol. Maddy the mage always sends a nice good morning :) and whenever we have one less in pt, I tell the pt leader to invite Maddy, even when he's busy LOL

Also kudos to all those who holla pt slots - I NEED DEM POINTS! Y'all need a rogue just hmu.

Too many ppl to mention but you guys are making me edge towards exalted rank, appreciate the help against Lich.

BTW my stance on Voriyana being a mad cow still stands.

@Kairihearts - just PM any of the Officers or Recruiters listed in the first post (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?379735-lt-Elite-Runners-gt-Official-Thread&p=2619219&viewfull=1#post2619219) to set up a quick test run. I'm sure it will only be a formality, but we tend to be a bit more selective with our recruiting process...mostly to keep out players that are not geared/skilled appropriately to grind elites (we are an elite PvE focused guild afterall).

Is everyone sitting comfortably near the fire place. Ok, it's Grandpa Unre's story time \o/

This is a story on how I got in at Elite Runners......

One day as I was traversing through the barren Arlorian landscape looking for adventure, a good friend harked via PM, 'You're too OP for that guild'. The guild that I was in, was very active but at that time the majority where a little under-geared, so one had to huff and puff a lot.

Tired of the huffin n puffin, I thought to myself, damn she's right, I need an elite guild for my elite taste, but therein lies a problem, I have been in most of the top LB guilds and I don't want to frequent a guild that I had already been in. One thing or another, I just didn't fit in, either an overtly bossy GM, obnoxious officers, or not much end-game running.

So there I am between a rock and a hard place when I notice Starkinea from Elite Runners. So I sent her a PM asking that I would like to join, and she replied sure but I need to do a test run. She took me thru hell and back >.< ran elite Underhul and Planar Tombs with big pulls T.T

I survived with only a few scratches, and after she deliberated with her fellow crew I received the invite :)

I've settled in really well, new recruits are constantly being added pending gear checks and test runs, all adding to a buzzing atmosphere and lit runs. I'm constantly up for mauso runs, don't care about curse mage no more, I just get up dust myself off and run into the melee again XD

Why I dieded a lot in this expansion explainded. I'm a bow rogue, bows in this expansion including balance bow are meh on purpose because.....

STS knew we rogues would've owned the curse mages with a bow but instead they wanted us to tickle the curse mages boney ears with daggz. Problem was that curse mages aren't ticklish, so hence I done did dieded.

Greetings fellow Alorians and loyal guildmates from ER! As a bringer of usually positive news, unfortunately today I can say with the greatest regret that ER has decided that it has come full circle to what appears as an ending of sorts. It wasn’t an easy decision amongst oficers, and many alternatives were already taken into consideration. We as a guild have persevered through Elites true to our name, terrible economies, and unreachable Arcane items. Throughout time, we’ve formed many bonds of friendships amongst ourselves as well as with other guilds.

Due to our high standards of recruitment followed by less than true Elite maps to actually farm after, member activity has been on a steady decline leaving few active players online at any given time and parties were exceptionally difficult to form. Additionally, many life changes as well as personal choices within the game or in real life have taken a toll on even our oldest Veterans within the guild. If they haven’t already retired, certainly seeing a lack of people to run with would push them to do so.

Fret not, we have a contingency plan! It wasn’t an easy one, but what we thought would be best and most fair to our still active players would to be a guild merge. I know, “Why not just rebuild our guild with new members” you say? Well, in a way we are! Only that it’s a reverse way of thinking and we would be the new members to another guild! After thoughtful searching, we have selected Enigmatic for our new home as their philosophy of farming is most reflective of our own. They have been more than kind to welcome us all with open arms! Positions are still being discussed to aid in the smoothest hiatus of our guild. It is our hope that every member, recruiter, and officer will join in with our relocation such that we can form full parties at any given time again.

Now that that’s out of the way, it wouldn’t be right not to have a few special mentions about the leaders and history of our guild! ER was originally founded by Ruff for one basic reason: To run Elite mode where most other players had avoided because it was next to impossible. Alrisaia took over 6 months after and basically started the Bible on farming elites. I still remember her great blender technique! Queenotshade for taking over and running many successful contests! Extrapayah for running the guild and hosting challenges! Trollkille for managing and making tough decisions during our darkest days. Although never a guild master, Kalizz proved to be DEV level who finished writing that Elite Bible and made us farm it everyday for a month. Evidence that ER will live on forever will be through the Elite Journeyman vanity as well as Elite Runner Chests.

ER coming full circle is far from being the end. If anything it is the start of something new and if running the hardest maps has taught us anything, it’s to always keep evolving and adapting to even the greatest challenges.

Today is a sad day for the whole Arlor. ER has been the very best guild i've ever been in, two years ago and, after a year long break, last year.
Personal choises made me change guild but i've always considered elite runners as my safe harbor, there is not, and there never will be, any other place to call home for me.
