The Pocket Legends Winter festival is back for 2016! Get started by talking to the Towne Crier. He'll have a quest to find Dash R., traveling holiday elf and ambassador from the Winter Village. She will provide access to the Winter Zones where you can face the abominable snowmen, free a towne of captured elves, defeat the Killjoy and rescue Father Frost!! In return for you good deeds, 2016 Xmas items abound (including the new golden snowflake wings, golden antlers, wrapped gifts and festive beards).

New for 2016: The Gifts Grotto!! A special winter-time portal hunt! Grab the Xmas Portal Hunter elixir from the store for a chance to spawn a special winter event teleporter. This magical portal will take you to the 'Gifts Grotto.' This is a special private zone where Killjoy has been hoarding his gold for the past couple of years. Stomp across these frosty fields filled with gift boxes and treasure chests as far as they eye can see... BUT WATCH OUT! Killjoy could return at any time and give you a beat-down.

- Increased 2h 'Psycho' sword damage to make them more interesting when compared with other Elite STR weapons.

No the set speed won't work in pvp. As mentioned, it will only have the speed effect in towns and winter zones. Then again, don't rely on my information...I'm only assuming this as the thread says it.

Of course massive thank you for planning on bringing this massive update. I have a couple questions I wouldn't mind being answered...
Will the vanity gear be tradeable and saleable? Especially the pets which would mean our very first time, (I think), that pets can be traded.
For the new elite Xmas Gear, we have a vendor that sells those items. However, does the vendor sell them for gold or plat? Or both?
Final Question: What colour will the xmas starries be? Like what range of colours?

I believe that there isn't a quest for a starry. There is a cpu vendor in Fathom Crypt that sells light blue "fake" starrys, (as others have called it) for around 10k. I think that starry is level 40 and cannot be stashed. But i have 191 quests done, and i haven't come across a starry quest.

The frozen crown of gratitude from 2012 I think, was for being an old player since 2012, but not as old as founders. I never saw that helm in pics except as killjoy wearing. Im not sure how it was gotten now lol. But i dont think its the same

Many maps were unlocked by paying plat back in the day, the sog and the frozen crown were rewards for those that bought the maps for plat before Cincos infamous comercial announcing that all maps are now free.
That said, idk if it is dropping in this new event, as I've relocated to Arlor.

I am prob one the oldiest player of pl and i am happy there going be a big change. We had r time sts trying bring back PL to mainstream let them do there thing maybe more people will play, to be honest i am tired seeing the same old people i enjoy playing with the new generation.

I hope they don't make the valentines weapons drop. Those are so rare like the rose wand and shield and Cupid's bow. That would make old players upset. I don't have any unfortunately :/ but they are cool and they were a vanity. That's why I haven't seen any rose sword in about a year. I hope they create new vanity weapons. Those were the best. New ones will hopefully make the game more exciting and bring in more people.

Rose wand isn't a vanity. It's a weapon. And there's a matching rose shield to go with it. :D

On Topic: I don't think they will bring back the 2010 xmas items back. Nor the special valentines weapons.
We don't need them back. Cause Sts gonna make something better than that (;

Even if I´d "lose" gold on STS bringing back the 2010 items it would be a highly welcome return.
This would probably bring people back to the low level twink brackets (such as 15) and I value that higher than me running around alone in a game with way too expensive gear.
