re-customise custom items in future updates

I'm wondering whether in future updates we could have recipes that allow you to re-customise old customised items into even better ones. I think this would be cool, cos then the custom items that we have spent ages grinding to get dont suddenly become completely useless when the next set of maps/level cap comes in.

I like the idea. I would also like to see them complete older sets. Make a iceberg helm which would complete the set, and then give it sparkles. Then give the shadow caves a update and make those sets customizable.

Nice idea it would definitely make items unique and especially if you can be able to turn an ordinary helm into a crown with rainbow colors and jewels.....
