Quest log 'track' button

Hi everyone, how does the track button work? I've played around with it and it seems it doesn't do anything

Hey it does work. When you click track you can see how many mobs/bosses/ingredients and whatever more left to complete quest.

That's what I thought it is supposed to do however when I track a quest the requirements/progress do not show up as you mentioned
