Good base pet for mage

I am looking for a good base pet for a Level 16 mage, I don't plan on using an arcane as base pet as I keep moving eggs between chars if they don't work out the way I want. So far, I'm planning on using Blinky as base, MM's HB and Nekro AA.

That said, what's the above average PvP stats for a L.16 mage? Right now, I am planning on using L.16 Ice Set (Brut), L.15 Tarlok Brut and L.16 Vigor Assault and L.16 Arc staff (need suggestion for awakening).

Use blinky/breeze. They seems best for low level.
As for awaken best are armor ones. Then HP then stat like +5 or %

I've heard Korruption AA is good vs rogues, any input on that?

It can be good if rogue don't have nekro and you have slotted MM into it. Anyways most of rogues run out from circle or use nekro shield and pool nearly don't affect them.
