Save my thumb!
Hi. I just started playing a few days ago but I am already addicted to PL. I would like to make a suggestion/request about the movement options. I am not a fan of click to move systems. I always click things I didnt intend to. The virtual joystick is ok but the constant pressure on my thumb gets to me. I would like a third option.

My idea is to use the tilt of the iPhone for left and right and replace the virtual joystick with two buttons. One button to toggle running forward on and off. The other to toggle running backward on and off. I ask for toggles so we wouldnt have to hold the button so long and also because the virtual joystick currently seems to 'forget' that my thumb is on it a lot. I am not asking for all movement to be controlled by the tilt because I have played other games like that and found it really awkward and had issues with glare.

Please understand that I am not asking to get rid of the current options which I am sure would be preferred by many. Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think!

On the iPad you can turn off the virtual joystick in the options menu and use tap to move. Can you turn that off on the Iphone?

I cannot imagine having to manage tilt controls on the mobile device while trying to tap all of the buttons I need to tap. I have to imagine this will become an even more tedious/difficult proposition with difficult dungeons. I like the line of thinking from the standpoint of trying to integrate other Apple touch mobile device capabilities, but from a dev time-sink standpoint I think this time could be much better used in other areas.

I'd rather see the devs find a way to make this game available on other device platforms to increase the population, or better yet more focus on game mechanics/balance and ways to keep people interested when they've hit skill cap.

You know what I think? Text-based movement.

You stand in a Dark Forest. You can move north, north or north.
>>north
You are assailed by skeletons! Your options are 'fight', 'flee' or 'use skill'.
>>fight
You die. Do you want your possessions identified?

Interim, you would like a free app called Frotz. :)

Hah, that is amazing. Thanks, Avadonna!

Now to add that to my 'Awesome' folder alongside NetHack and Rogue.

HEY WHAT THE HECK DO YOU HAVE AGAINST THE 60s?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

We owe everything to the sixties. If we didn't have the sixties, that is, if the sixties never existed, I don't know where the flip we'd be now.
