What happens to speed set after winter event?

So I already know that the speed set will work in towns after the update but

As said in this post

Would it not be beneficial to have it open to all maps? As after the event means you have spent alot of plat to run faster in Townes.. not much use IMO. Plus would even it out as stats are pretty poor compared to other elites

I just wanna drag this situation out a little more because it's really in my interest as I have invested in a lot of money (plat) on several sets
Can a dev please clarify if they plan on implementing the speed for pve after event or not?
I really don't see any harm in this.. Apart from out running other people and running passed mobs in the map but thats kind of the point of speed..

Anyway I'd like to see what others think about this too
