If you wanted an egg you should have just sold the luck elixir and bought the egg you want. None of the eggs you can farm are worth more than a luck elixir these days. You can thank the Eggstravaganza from last year for that. Unfortunately this very fun aspect of the game is lost for a very long time, if not forever.
