I was i a negative spiral and wish to get out it , my solution:
i start pl all over (since i deleted my char)
i start PL over using zero plat ! (perhaps to buy new dungeons but thats it, no vanitys or else)
I DARE OTHERS TO JOIN ME AND PLAY THE GAME AS IT WAS MENT TO BE
rules, no elixer, no use of plat and a fresh char, elixer user will be booted from games we play.

Just because you think the game is meant to be played one one way doesn't mean that's the way its suppose to be. The devs added ALL these elements to the game because that's what they wanted... And contrary to your belief thats the way it's meant to be played. What makes it great is the fact that it caters to 100s of different play styles from spending plat on elixers to help hit that lvl 61 goal to spending 500 plat on vanities! If you feel that deleting a character that you invested time and money in to start over and not spend any is what's right for you... Then far be it from me to stop you but what you suggest is ludacris IMO and if you seriously thought about it, what your suggesting here is to stop spending money yet still expect expansions? Which won't happen dude...lmao .. Nothing in the world is free. But hey good luck with that...lol

I'm going to buy it because I want to show my own support to the whole STS for offering us awesome f2p mmos on mobile devices. I've been enjoying these games over an year now and I think it's just fair for me to show how much I love this game and the whole STS by buying that 500 plat vanity helm.

You are correct that is anyone's choice to buy one. But you're missing the point completely that some are trying to make. It's not about not supporting STS, or the 'showoff' factor or hating on anyone....the vast majority of people on this thread have bought FAR more than 500 plat since PL (and SL) have come out, and some have spent in the thousands and thousands. It's about the price being jacked way up to well over 10, 20 times more than any other vanity in the past for no apparent reason.
If you want to buy one/support STS, it is a free country/game..but at least try and see other people's point of views as well.

No worries! Everyone is entitled to an opinion...it's just that I know Slush is a good dude and he is taking some heat it seems for being outspoken on his opinion. At the end of the day, vanity or no vanity, doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

People should acknowledge that what's expensive to them may not apply to others. It's a subjective tag that is dependent on a person's level of income and interest. Obviously, we are all interested in this game so that's out of the question, which leaves us to the level of income. I'm not sure what the correct level of income is, but definitely STS is "talking" to their higher tiered market, income-wise. Opinions are basically biased according to these factors, so if you're on the opposing side, then that probably means you cannot afford it using your "play money" and you're going to have to tap on your disposable income just to buy it, or your parents will get pissed at you for using your card (which they pay) for an item within a game LoL, meanwhile, those who are neutral and agreeable to the said item only means they have the luxury of $30 to throw away, I'm not saying you actually buy the item, but the fact that you're cool with it only means you're psyschologically geared towards having that level of play money. So, to those whiners and haters of this particular item, you can proceed but bear this in mind (no pun intended), owning and affording are two different things, you might own a cool gadget, but can you really afford it? think about it, I'm sure even haters are smart enough.

Good points. But to put it simply, If enough people buy this, then STS will see it as a good way to make some profit without having to release new levels or anything. This encourages the trend of outrageous prices for the coolest vanities. The people that bought this helm would have bought any 500 plat vanity, no matter the look, because it is a display of wealth. This helm should have been more available to people because i'm sure ten times more people would buy it at 100 plat, making it more profitable, and allowing more people to enjoy the coolest design in PL to date (my opinion). I think it should have been an insanely hard to farm drop, to encourage more people to actually play the game more. I don't play PL anymore but if I did I would totally have bought this. It looks cool and I can afford it, and TBH if it encourages STS to make more deadly vanities im all for it.

Some people need to understand. We can come on the forums and post our opinion. If you dont like what someone posts. It dont mean we dont have enough money. It dont mean someone else is more rich then the other owning it. ((trust me. Most people that are older posters on forums. They spent and spend tons other ways in game.))
If you read. The number one thing I read is. WHERE DOES IT GO NOW? Will it keep going up x5-10 times in price from now on for zones, vanity, elixers, and whatever new....

Just so you know the STS is pretty nice about giving away more than one to you if you bought one on that account. I accidentally bought 2 of the same vanity items and they let me keep both. So it is possible to get 4 without spending 2000 platinum. I don't recommend trying this though.

I'm surprised that so many people think its so cool looking. Personally I've seen sts put out vanity items that don't look as bland as this. For 500 plat it should breathe fire or do something that no other plat item can. No stats, just something that makes it unique because currently, I think its kind of, well, messy looking.

1. Prices in cs arent affected by a vanity u buy with plat and cant resell. If u dont like prices in cs dont pay theyll drop. And im sure u have no complaints when u get glyph obed xbow drop.
2 i bought and sold many custom,enchanted,fortified peices for 700k+ so considering how new demonic is. The prices are right. even glyph is fairly new.
3 hard light and name reg was 70plat or more. Chrimson holo was 50plat
4 ive never met anyone who said no to increased profit why would sts.
1. It was a joke comparing two things that have recently increased substantially in price. I'm fine running with my sewer gear and don't buy what I don't deem worth the gold. If I get a glyph xbox bow sure I wouldn't complain, but I'd sell immediately.
2. Yes, the price change is due to how new the items are, but thank you for assuring me that the prices are indeed correct.
3. Hardlight and name reg was 50 plat (same as crimson).
4. Increasing the profits is STS' job, I just want players to resist a bit or it may bite them in the end and all upcoming vanity may increase to meet demand.
Edit: Everyone is voicing an opinion and letting off some steam about the recent events, I was just adding my input but if you want to come at me bro' by all means have at it. Not telling players how to spend their money just adding some comedy with the reality but I'm guessing that you didn't find my views very insightful; yours on the other hand were quite subjective.

Who cares if Mount Fang is free? You'd expect the campaigns to get better as the level cap increases, yet every campaign since AO3 has been garbage (IMO) in terms of gear, mobs, bosses, map design. They reused mobs, put different skins on bosses and gear. The new glyph gear is just coloured gear with a glyph sign on it. I payed 20 plat for AO3 when it came out, (all other campaigns were 5, and there was no free plat). And I'd hapily pay 50 plat today. I really didn't want to say this, but some people just don't get it... Navygreen, you said change is inevtiable, which I agree with. However, don't you think 15 plat to 500 plat is slightly pushing it?
