Please explain armor to me

How does it work? I have 50 damage and enemy has 30 armor, how much do i hit? Also how much armor do monsters and bosses have?

It will take a longggg time tp figure out how much armor bosses have. Armor blocks 1 damage per armor so if an enemy has 30 armor and you did 50 damage, you would actually do 20 damage.

K heres how armor works. The armor level an enemy has reduces your target damage by that amount (example: enemy 30 armor, u do 50 damage. 50-30 = 20 damage to the enemy) Now heres where I dont understand. If you crit, does the armor count before the x2 or after ? (example, u normally hit 50. Enemy has 30 armor. Thus, u do 100 damage without armor reduction. With armor, do you do 50x2-30 or (50-30) x2?) Thanks.
Also, the armor of monsters and bosses depends. For example, dex birds at lvl 30 hate the snowball yetis, because of their higher armor then, say the ice mages.

I believe it counts after, for example a mage does 1,200 damage with a fireblast, with armor reduction she actually did 1,170.

Its possible without elixirs. Full nuke mage, full buff, x2 damage orb
