This is without a doubt one of the most significant predicaments I've ever encountered.

On one hand, Gustav's hairy chest is representative of the stereotypical, masculine lifter. Those clearly define pecs, the chiseled jaw line, and surely the manly mustache all contribute to the "lifting physique."

However, we mustn't exclude the possibility of possible steroid use:

"The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's National Household Survey on Drug Abuse determined 1,084,000 Americans, or 0.5 percent of the adult population, said that they had used anabolic steroids. In the 18 to 34 age group, about 1 percent had ever used steroids." -- *Credit to Google for giving me an answer on command*

While 0.5% may appear to be a low number, looks can be deceiving.

I hope we can figure this one out guys.

Even with anabolic steroid use... The man still has to put in the work. Lol. Steroids don't magically create muscle appearance.

So yes. Gustav does indeed lift.

Oops, I didn't even realize I left out a piece. I will rephrase:

A true "bro do you even lift?"-er does NOT use steroids, while a regular lifter may use steriods and still lift. The phrase "bro do you even lift?" pertains to those who get results strictly from natural gains (lifting and food intake), but once we implement performance-enhancing drugs into the equation, then we violate the definition of "bro do you even lift?"

Thus, the question still remains.

Well it looks like I've solved the riddle.

Yesterday I went to my local 24 hour fitness and Gustav happened to be there. The gym is a "No to steroids" zone and REQUIRES monthly blood testing in order to keep being a member.

Gustav is CLEAN!
