detecting devs

What's your strategy to finding devs on PL and SL?

Normally i look for games that have a capped player and are quickly filling up (multiple refreshes) normally that gurantees i find them at least once.

I also have my guildies fan out in all directions to boost our chances, when one of us finds a dev they sound the call and we pounce!

I only look for them during events, but i have ny guildees and my fl looking for them for me also so i have a high chance of encountering one. Then ir just comes down to trying to join the base in which they are in. lol which takes me awhile

I check my friendslist if it's devs, if it's something like Droid_griller i'm looking for, I do what Lowly does.

ALS is only 61, Sam is 62, I forget about G(sorry!), and I haven't seen the others yet.

question how do you make it so you see the picture in the message? only through computer?

You'll need to put the photo on a hosting service like Photobucket.
2. Then copy the "Direct Link" to the photo.
3. Then, wherever you want it in your message, hit the button that looks like a picture of a tree in a frame (3rd button from the right side).
4. In the pop-up box, click on the tab that says, "From URL".
5. Paste the direct link in the box and uncheck "Retrieve remote file...."
6. Hit OK.

Or...when you get to where you want the photo, type in "link to photo goes here" without the quote marks.

ETA: I did this one on my Mac, but I can do it on my iPad using Photobucket's App. I'd think that'd work for any of the other devices. **Looks frantically for an Android expert** Where's Bod? He knows all things photo-y on a Droid....

An easy way to detect devs:

Do a manual search for town lobbies that are maxed/full and keep trying to join over and over. Most likely they have a dev there :)

Spot on! Exactly same process and what Otukura said with the direct photo browser from device/PC etc can be used on a PC also just tap the same icon of the tree this will bring up a pop up left menu URL and right direct upload from device.

A picture from what I have gathered needs to be less than 180bytes (maybe less), when higher than this it either fails to upload or doesn't show a pic. I have had to use a converter in the past to drop the quality such as 'Resize it' or 'Converter plus' etc.

On Topic - I ask buddies and guildies to give me a heads up when they join an instance :D

If not then on PL I used to do the full instance trick or search by level cap. Though on SL this wouldn't work due to the fact droid-griller and co have beenlevel 1, 2, 5 and 31 lol

This is, sadly, completely true. It'll be fixed in the next update. In the meantime, I find baiting traps with pizza and beer seems to work pretty well.....
