Im pretty sure that much players have problems with the UI or the Nortification Bar, which is always getting on our way of pvp the skills and such.Oh and when we miss click and it closes. If you do not know what I am talking about, here are some images(The black line at the end of the screen) :

Good that u brought the issue, it's android's buttons, I forgot the right term. When I switched from tablet to my new phone, I had a lot issue with this for really long time, and then got used to it, still wish it will get fixed.

The problem is, pl ain't getting full 'full screen' mode, some devices don't have physical home buttons, I think the problem arises for those devices, YA IT'S ANNOYING, PLEASE MAKE PL FULLSCREEN FOR ALL DEVICES.

Could this be depending on the android version? This doesn't happen to me on phone or tablet, both 7.something

It don't have much to do with android version, some devices have dedicated (outside actual screen) home buttons and some have these buttons on screen area, like the one you can see in the SS.

Both my devices have softkeys but on both pl goes full screen and the softkeys only show when deliberately swiped in
I have yet to accidentally swipe them in

That's why I thought that the full screen app handling could have changed between android versions

Most new games I play have fullscreen, the really outdated ones like PL hasnt got this fixed yet.

There are many ways to do it just search up how to remove softkeys on android here is a website i found https://android.gadgethacks.com/news/best-apps-for-hiding-androids-soft-keys-reclaim-precious-screen-real-estate-0162519/

If your feeling technologically inclined just head to your system folder, then open the "build.prop" file in a text editor, and add this single line of code to the bottom:

qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

"Rooting breaks your phone" is a myth just use a trusted method for your phone and dont do anything stupid. It will work 100%

True, i used to be a root user , but in this case its not the point. I mentioned that there will be no way to go back, if i remove the buttons

Code qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 will turn them off and qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 will turn them back on no harm done.

Note: the folder may already contain qemu.hw.mainkeys= set to 0 (on) and all you have to do is change it to a 1 and save the build.prop. It will be in one of the last lines in the folder. If not just past it in.
