Over the past week, on more than one occasion, I've posted in a thread and have received a message saying that "my post will be shown once it has been approved by a moderator." My experience has been that when this happens, my message never ends up appearing and is lost.
Is this something new? I've never had this happen before. What's going on here?

Happens if you say certain trigger keywords or if STS doesn't like you xD.
Mods have been rather busy I guess and haven't had time to put work into checking these post.
Best thing to do is just to copy your post before uploading it and if the mod approval thingy pops up, wait a bit if no reply just paste it again and it should be fine.

Happened to me also, couple of times. And i also thought that certain words trigger a filter - but this is not exactly so.
3 days ago, I reworded my post, and i was completely sure that i was saying nothing wrong - the least pretty word used was "dirty", and i was careful to not be offensive at all. And again, that post is still not shown. In principle, if some word is "bad", then every post containing it should be stopped at first, automatically.
My 'censored' posts were pretty long. I don't know what triggers this "filter". But my guess is, the mods appointed don't have enough time to review everything filtered. Which shouldn't be so, imo.

i think title also counts, and my guess is if the thread title is similar to previous ones (even though it's 2-3 years old), it will need moderation...
if only they put the reason why it needs to be moderated, there won't be such ruckus...
"I sent u a pm" - was my reply in one post, and i got a msg that it needs to be approved. LOL? And its not the first time. Ive sent a pm to mods about it, but honestly, i know i wont get any explanations.

This is why I rarely write anything that is not a random sarcastic comment with like 6 words, because it all gets stopped for me anyway, bet this post is gonna be stopped too for some reason

I wrote a few medium and short posts recently. Didnt see any moderator requirements. I have previously had a couple posts needing moderator approval. It must be a word or words, because they were short posts as far as I remember. Approval seemed pretty fast, too, but maybe because the posts were short. Perhaps for long posts, it takes them a long time to check them?
I made a thread a few weeks back (quite a long one that took time).. got the "this needs moderation to be approved". After this, I waited a few days with no luck, sent a pm to Gary and I still haven't seen my thread. Quite ridiculous in my opinion, I miss Seo and Arp.

When that first happened to me I got mad and logged off of forums for some weeks (after 5 years). it looks like we are not supposed to post anymore, no welcomed guests anymore, so I avoid posting. curious if this appears ..
Its weird. If i use wifi, my post needs to be reviewed. If i use mobile net aka 4g, i can post/reply without moderator approvement. Any ideas whats going on?

I get moderator approval all the time lately. And it looks random. Some of my posts are still waiting lol.

I had the same with my m7 thread. The thread is long so it has to be approved by a moderator. If you use many letters/words like this (Test Test Test) or many screenshot it will go to sort of "spam filter" see it like your email =), that's why it needs Moderator Approval. They check if it's a valid thread. I think *looks innocent*
Post your thread in 2-3 sections like at the first post 1/3rd of the thread, at the 2nd post (in comment) 2/3rd of the thread and so on...
This would solve your problem. It's good as long as it last (that way) [emoji14]

I asked Justg the exact same thing and he told me their "Moderation-Bot" has gone a bit crazy lately... omg, report Justg for 'Botting' asap !! XD
:)
Yep, every single one of my posts require moderator approval at the moment. JustG said the moderator bot has gone haywire atm.

Imagine if someone missed a contest because of this lol.......
This is the perfect time for sts to host contests like they used to..... *sarcasm*
Edit: oh so I can actually post..... The last three attempts didn't work....
