Anybody who follows STS on facebook or twitter probably has seen the messages saying things like "You need to download Star Legends" -Google

And the latest message was "Want to play on PC or smartphone? Spacetime Studios has you covered!"

I find these misleading and they bring up my hopes, only to find that the game has still not been released on Chrome :(

I really hope STS can give us a date soon, so I don't have to go crazy every time they send out a slightly misleading tweet about being able to play on the PC.

All thats needed;

we're partnering with Google to bring our games to the Chrome browser. More details will be coming very soon via official press releases.

Uh there has already been official press release.

I'm just saying it would be nice if we could get an exact date or an estimation instead of the the tweets and messages about how "the game now has PC capabilities."

Yhh I know, and understand what your saying, but im sure they will announce it as soon as they can.. patience is the key,, as im sure this is the most 'un-aswerable' asked question in SL atm.

Purely guessing here, but I have always assumed that they would release it on Chrome at the end of the event that's currently underway. I guess that we'll find out soon. :)

It may even be ready for release now, just may be working the last minute bugs out before the big release. Can't wait! :D

Well....misleading? You might want to blame statesman.com--what was tweeted was their headline on an article there and it also contained a link to it. :) As for a release date, until it's close, you probably won't get one. Considering the hoo-hah the Devs had to deal with when they tried to give us one for the release of SL to IOS, I'd be hesitant, anyway, to give a hard date (or even an approximate one) until it was a done deal.

Hmm, I'd just like an idea of the control scheme...

Yeah, but this is kinda different than the iOS fiasco. After all, the app store for Chrome is similar to Android market (lol, should be both are by Google).

Take a few test runs in other games, in Gun Bros you use the PC method of;

W (Forward)
S (Back)
A (Left)
D (Right)

Spacebar (Menu)
Esc (Pause)

Mouse movement/click (Aim/shoot)

This obv wouldnt give you SLs controls but what is does, gives you a feel of what its like to play through Chrome and possible keyboard movements etc.

Mouse click (Aim shoot) Heh, but STS is indeh xD Personally i'd like attacks to be 1-2-3-4 then TAB to move to the second set plus WASD or both mouse clicks to move. Enter to talk, e to bring up the emotes, q to bring up the menu.

Drakkor was giving away green antennas yesterday while playing SL in front of a crowd (forgot the event name), and he was doing it through google chrome. So some sort of working version is available right now. Like stated previously, they are obviously refining the product and debugging it b4 it launches to the masses.

STS and google both have an image and a certain quality/refinement to their products that I'm sure they both want to maintain. So I don't mind waiting for whatever time it takes because when i get my hands on it, I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait.

Ha, pretty basic I know, but at least is confirms that keyboard commands are able to be added :) not just clicking on the screen to move/attack/menus/chat etc.

Like the other commands you mentioned tho xD (Maybe cutomizable to user? or Devs will think up something epic in anycase :D

You should be playing SL then because until this week all they gave out was green ones.

Not really different, tho. Whatever the reason for a delay, if you announce, "It should be out the week of Oct. 17th", what people hear is, "It's coming out Oct. 17 for sure, posilutely!" They disregard the "should", they don't hear "week of". If anything happens to delay it--bugs, Google Chrome team goes on strike for better coffee benefits, tornados hit Texas or whatever, people will go nuts.
