Newbie Struggles

Yo Devs... I've seen lots and lots of struggling new players in game. It's due to the fact that prices of items are goin crazy. After the expansion and those gold loot updates, auction is manipulated by merchants.

Could you Devs please make a solution to deez? For the sake of newbies and for the game's fun factor.

Why don't you just bring back locks in km3? It's a great way of making profit in there. I also started my journey to having millions of gold by farming locks. Or why don't you just double the xp given by dailies so newbies can easily lvlup to 61 and they could start farming in graveyard. Lvl 61 cap takes a long long time to achieve unless you play all day, you don't have responsibilities in real life or whatsoever.

To those players reading this thread, d'you have any opinion on how to assist newbies and balance the game? It seems like game is in favor of those who are already old player and max in lvl.

I would agree with the fast lvling update. Always when i meet new players. I tell them to lvl up to 61 asap, because at lower lvls theres no way to get any gold

Ive played a long time. And leveled alott of toons.. I must say, it has never been easyer to level, and never been easyer to get rich then now. Quests give insane xp, they did not before. You get gear about every 10 level up to i think lev 40, so all gold you make until 40 you can keep, my last leveled to 36 had 70k when i retired it at 36, mostly from quests, and i had been spamming pots the whole leveling.

To get access to the places that drop good gold, you will have to farm gy and first maus stages to 55k points, wich will give tokens and gold for decent enuff gear to run places with better gold and loot.
Prices has gone up a bit, but not really much at all, its still a walk in the park, and cheeper then ever getting 3/5 order set and start farming. You still make the same amount of tokens each maus6 without gl gear, so still make gold fast. Most dont even bother getting a 3/5 order. Mages can just buy some glint coin sacks and buy the 47 hex staff and spec str.... not my playstyle, but it can be done and lots do.

Imo the game already is friendly to new players. You can get to cap level fast with the dailys and some farm. And about getting the nice items and vanities you don't need much time or effort either. Do you know there are mages who have tens of millions from maus and don't even use dragon staff because they are clueless? Making gold or reaching the cap is actually too easy... You can start from scratch and get to the top for 6months or less. You should see how it goes in other games.

If you spend just 50$ on plat it will make you 2 million in gold alone. Every new player should buy at least 20$ in plat, buy elite awakening kits and sell in CS. Then poof! Millionaire in a day ;)

There are maps for lock farming like jarl was.
It's already very easy to lvl to 41 within 3 hrs by simply doing storyline.. then only doing daily will take you to max cap in few days ..

I dont find the harder maps in AL to be fun, as it's just a bunch of insta-kill enemies, which doesnt tie well in a button mashing game such as this. I enjoyed the hack and slash aspect of the game that i had in the watchers, kraag, and kraken tombs/mines, and for them to be made irrelevant is what took away my drive to play.

Agree. Sts should bring back the lockeds not only to km3, but to all the maps. All these maps atm can be considered useless for endgame players since there is almost nothing of value to gain there. And I would also like to remind STS that by removing the lockeds from these maps, new players have to struggle a lot more compared to the past. And when new players have a hard time with making any financial progress, they are more likely to leave the game early. The result of this is a possible declining playerbase what could result in the end of AL.

Leveling is very fast these days and you get free equips and pots. There is even a new way to earn gold: Forgotten Ruins. Just do the quests, do a bit of crafting or sell jewels or even get Massive Twilight Crates.

I don't think complaints about prices caused sts to kill km3. I believe they were looking at how much money comes into game from where, and then saw many of us ( incl me then) living in the mines.
I do remember ppl complaining that they were "slaves" in the mines because there were no other good maps for noobs to come up in. Which is more of a comment on the game as a whole then, than it is about km3 imho

I'm a college student, no income..playing one year now for fun..I've spent 0 real money to buy in game resources..I used my brain to merch and had farmed hard to earn gold. I've started having capital for merching in tombs through farming locks..But now, the farming fun in tombs is gone..Now you have to be max lvl to earn big amount of gold...And new players would suffer how to earn gold without spending real money..Either they beg or scam to earn easy gold...

LOL you're old enough to undertand the real point...You even have kids now...Now I tell you, if all people have an attitude like yours who are willing to spend thousands for a game, world will suffer more in poverty..Spend real money to survive in real life, not to be OP in game..Just play for fun.....period...

I'm a college student,18 year old, no income..Most players are like me, teenagers, no income...I've spent 0 real money to survive in game..I farm and used my brain to merch..I've started my peaceful gold earning journey in tombs to farm locks but now it's gone together with the farming fun factor..In this current update, you'll need to ne max lvl.to be able to earn thousands of gold..

This game wouldn't even be here if it wasnt for(now i could be wrong) many many many young adults spending some cash on PL.


Btw fantasy games (99.99% could fall into this category)are a multi billion dollar industry thats thriving.

In almost every live game(updates weekly, its the most you will prolly see for mobile) we need a premium consumer to fund the ongoing construction of the game or the company would have to have backup capital.

He is right, without plat buyers this game wouldnt be.sts has to eat too!they need their strength to deal with the forumers ;).

Btw ive made over 5k free plat since my account created, they work done correctly. We used to have to buy maps with plat in early PL days! Nerf gold loot frm maus maps back to what arena is this season.

More items, less buyers.. Price decreases, thus so called newbies happy.

I mean really man. All r taking the game nd devs for granted. Its a grt game till date. I have played different games bt always came back to AL.

Btw abt newbies, if they beg around in town, nd dont run maps. They deserve to stay in poverty.

Atm its super easy to make gold. And newbies dont need alot of gold to start.

All quests frm lvl1 to lvl61 give out alot of gold to buy gears. New players get gear kit. Like what they need more?

Play for abt 1-2 month nd u can be in par with old casual players.

Gud gears r cheap atm. Op stuffs r lit expensive bt its reasonable. No newbie is meant to get heroic /arcane pet in less than a month, bt still they can get if they play effectively.

i started at season 9 btw not as old as the other players but comparing prices before to now everything is way cheaper now... as a newbie before i was happy with gyrm and a planar set as a gear since i can't afford an arcane pet and a good gear and gems to make my toon stronger. I never stopped farming because i had a goal. I always tell myself i will be strong enough to last longer in maps and i did :) I may not be one of the richest players in AL but im not poor :) So if your a newbie just work hard enough and you could be as good as them :)
Thanks for sharing yur story rai :-) my point is just..It's not that easy to earn gold in game anymore especially if you're not lvl61 ...I just pity those newbies

Imagine entering the world as a 57 with what you think is an op set then joining the world map area with a recommended lvl for 57... then get destroyed over and over and over...

Iam not using dragon staff because its too expensive. Hard to find party without that staff btw.

Im low budget gamer too, but i feel happy to play this game with all of my guildmates. Guilds will help you too for grow up [emoji106]

Hex drag or immo .. get any/all of those and you will be full of parties

km3 was so much fun. i got to know so many of my friends through km3..
and even.. kraken mines is a very nice but pretty useless place now.
its like a waste of something which they worked very hard for to bring out..

about the lvling.. well idk so no comment :D but i dont think any 61s now would care if the new once lvl up fast or not so why not.

about the items.
i belive that we all worked very hard to get the items which we now own. and still many players who play since 6 months are still trying to farm for a nekro. but i think thats fine.
as mentioned in some comments i think ppl just have to earn and do something if they want to achieve something. and since grave and mauso and the gl weps or what ever it isnt really that hard to farm gear. even i dropped the daggers i use.
aswell the armor i bought from the vendor by farming grave/maus means i didnt spend any gold on them.
just some thoughts.
again to mention... bring back km3! :D

being poor and being rich as a player for me this is a choice. Everyday i see people complain about how high the price is or how hard it is to farm or how hard the maps is and me personally i don't see no logic. I played the game since season 9 (level 41). I know the struggles of playing when your gearless and when everything was expensive. like sns, nekro those are like 50m plus. Gears before were insanely expensive unlike now. Leveling up was also crazy before. Honestly comparing my season to this season its a lot more easier. If you wanna farm for locks you have options you can go back and fort to undim fields, oltgar keeps southern seas or windmoore harbour. once you have enough gold buy a gold loot weapon and farm graveyard and maus. Ever since i have never been into merching and i always farm. I'am what I'am right now because i chose to observe and stop complaining, I chose to allot my time to farm atleast 2 hours or so and allot the rest of my time chatting. I chose learn about the contents and updates so i will know what to do. Look at my character now, It's not the richest toon in AL but i have gears and i just started from a player who relied on gyrm as her strongest pet and planar set. So being strong is a matter of choice.


As a player you choose what and who you are to be.
