I'm such a noob--question to ask about polls

Feel so stupid asking this since i've been part of fourms for a while.
Is it possible to start a thread with a poll? If so, how? Or can only devs and mods start new polls? thanks

When you hit post new thread in Off Topic, scroll to the very bottom before the submit thread button, and there is a place to check that says "post a poll"
