View Full Version : Holo-Shield vs Holographic Display Shield

The Holo Shield has 134 Armor.
The Holographic Display Shield has 32 Armor.
This would make sense if the Holo Shield was Commando Only, but it is not, so why does the one shield have 100 points more armor?

I agree for the place it takes there is no reason for it to have less armor when the rest of the stats are the same. Maybe the drop rate is better. So until you can pick up a holo shield this fills the spot.

Holo sheilds are much rarer drops... the special class lvl 26 holo sheild is worth over 40K!! and lvl 28 is still at 5k I think..
But then the lvl 30 144 Def holo sheild is only worth maybe 40 credit in AH right now?
The Display is useless though, I don't know why they wasted their time with that... :/

Why is the level 26 so expensive anyway? It's a Dex shield. Far as I know, Ops aren't meant to use shields. Maybe for people who want a shield now now now? All I can think of.
I don't think Displays are bugged. They're meant to take the slot until you get a Shield.

It looks like a device they would use in Star Trek when scanning for life forms. Maybe it's more of a vanity if anything. Just looks kinda cool. But not really.

Different stat combinations on the displays, like the high INT one which could find use amongst Engineers that do not rely on armor.

The stats on lvl 28 shield and lvl 29 HOLO display are exactly the same. But shield has more armor. I think that is what the thread creator was referring to.
