whats a scam?

I was snooping around the SL interface and i saw the Report Scam button. Its
obviously something bad to report...can someonee explain?

its when some one lies or cheats in order to gain something e.g check this glitch out give me your items and ill duplicate them (person gives valuable items) scammer runs away leaving person broke

The report button is used for many things not just scams :)

Report - If people are not following the ToS that STS has put in place.. found here http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?27985-Star-Legends-Terms-of-Service (Please read if not done so through the App)

Report - Scams, e.g. If a player has been told that they will sell a piece of gear for 1000 cred, and right before they confirm they change this amount to 1 or 10 cred, this is a classic example of a scam. Some may be a little harder to decipher though, and not realise before its to late.

Though dont worry if that player is reported with a detailed statement of what had happened, STS are able to go in and read the whole side of the story before taking action. This can also be emialed with screenshots as evidence to support, support(at)spacetimestudios.com, (at) replaced with @.

Hope this helps, would suggest you read the ToS instead of listing each 'Perma Ban rule' as this will include what behaviour or functions that are not exceptable in SL.

yep its sorta like that your stealing from a player or trading for a price that is different from the negotiated one this is a serious offence and with enough evidence the offender can be permanent banned there are also scams with accounts like a player selling an account (which is not allowed) then changing password on buyer.

Another is Cross-game trading, if you have played Pocket Legends, it is against STS to trade from Star Legends to Pocket Legends or Vice-versa.. link found here..

Dev = developer, or the people who made Star Legends/work at STS.
They appear randomly in game at Either Blackstar's 'town' in the ship, or the Outpost on Numa Prime. They will have red name's in game to make it easier to spot them. If you see one, do the wave emote at them, and the antenna will appear in your inventory.

Dev = developer, person who is in the development section of the game.
You can see them in game from time to time or during event.
They have their name in red.

Antennae = rare vanity helm,
at first in PL it was gift from dev, you need to wave at them and ur avatar would get antennae.
Later different colors have been created to celebrate event winner or special event. Some r available now on deal of the day for plat.

In SL, only green antennae given from dev atm r still available. Grey ones were given when u waved at people who bought the plat jetpack during event last week.

yes some are only available through the devs while others are gotten from players. antennas can be awesome and are given out at events but sometimes the devs run around and give them out whenever. for example the black ones they were christmas antennas and yes people still get them now or the yellow antenna from 2010 there still being given out (yellow for best mmo award [MMO means massive multiplayer online]) this information mostly relates to pl but its roughly the same. except there are less antennas in star legends. as a result the devs only have the green ones and you can no longer get the grey ones.

also during events you can get other things besides antennas such like the jetpacks!
you can also get antenna from events hosted on the forums (have not seen a star legends one yet but seen plenty of pocket legends ones)
