In your avatar screen, does the DPS number only affect your auto-attack?
Or does having a higher DPS also increase skill damage?

Thanks!

Auto attack only I think!

Auto only. DPS is only a measure of max weapon damage per second. It doesn't take into account enemy armor.

If I'm right the DPS affects auto attack only.

And weapon base damage affects the skill damage. With an addition of class specific attribute (dex=better bird skill damage). Mage equipment gives some skill damage as well.

Still these are what I think and I can't be 100% sure.

DPS is a simple calculation of average dmg divided by weapon speed (((min dmg + max dmg)/2)/wep speed).

So for example a weapon with:
Min dmg: 50
Max dmg: 100
Weapon speed: 0.5

Would give you a dps of: ((50+100)/2)/0.5)= 150 dps

As said here already, it's auto-attack only. Your min/max dmg together with the type of weapon, has a direct influence on your skill dmg, while DPS does not. As also mentioned here already, enemy armor needs to be taken into account when purely looking at your dps (or auto-attack dmg). The real dmg dealth to an enemy is 'dmg-enemy armor'. So your 'real' dps is lower when an enemie's armor is higher.

For example:

Same example as above, but this time an enemy has 30 armor
Min dmg: 50 - 30= 20
Max dmg: 100 - 30= 70
Weapon speed: 0.5

Your 'real' dps would be: ((20+70)/2)*0.5)= 90 dps

dps means how fast your weapon autos and how much damage it would do per second thats why its abbrivated dps- damage per second :)
