Hello AL friends and fiends I am very interested in going pve now so I would like to learn the basics now, by the end this week I'll have 11-12m, now by basics I mean answers to questions like basic set up of skills, weapons to use, money required, maps to run, gold loot required for earning well etc etc, all help is appreciated.
What I have so far achieved(nothing much at all):
1) Level 61
2) few kinda helpful pve pets(swift, korruption, slink, breeze and magma)
3) halfway thru unlocking mausoleum 1
4) I will have pp by the end of next week too!

I hope you all can help me out as I'm kinda new to these two expansions 😅

Depends on what you would like to farm. If your aiming for Mausoleum 5-6 then it is gonna require some good gear and pets which you can achieve with your 12m. Basic pve skill set for mage is:
Gale(Speed, and knockdown as well for full mastery is extremely useful)
Fireball(All 5 and if you have leftover points use on mastery)
Clock( Same as firebal)
Shield( All except displacement wave)
Some people replace gale with Ice or Lightning, up to the user. The money required you have no need to worry at the moment, you have enough. Maps to run for farming:
Mausoleum 5/6- for gold loot
Elite Southern Gates- another good place to farm gold loot
Windmoore Harbour and Undim Fields- for locks.
Now next topic, amount of gold loot required. You can start earning with any amount of gl but to earn good I have heard many say 140%+ is great at getting gold. You should easily be able to get gear with good gl with your money. OK now for weapons I'll highlight the main ones praised throughout Arlor for their amazing usefulness in Mausoleum.
1. Flame Staff of Hex(whatever)- Used for proc wildfire, super useful in Mausoleum. Stats arent that great.
2. Dragon Staff- Used to kill bosses in Mausoleum. Also great proc but remember not as great for mobs. Also not amazing in stats.
3. Immortal Staff- Great proc as well similar to wildfire. Banishes mobs. Great if you manage to get your hands on one. Kinda rare atm haven't seen on auction in a while. Good stats.

Hope I helped (= with 12m building a lethal maus runner shouldn't be that hard. Sorry if setup is kind of lousy, am posting through Tapatalk. Do I get a reward for being the most helpful mage in all of Arlor xD

P. S. Also I wrote all of this before realizing you didn't even include what class you were. If your not a mage I just wasted 30 minutes for nott :/

The time I can't be sure but to gain entry to Maus is through a point system. It all depends on how much time you spend each day grinding. Runagain's guide should tell you how many points you need. If you have any other questions feel free to ask (:
