Elixirs from gold elite chests

I am wondering why I get so many elixirs from the gold elite chests like nature and water from deep in the maus and yet they don't work there. Seems like they should contain elixirs that work there. At least make them work there so they aren't a waste especially when you are end game.

I can explain it this way. No one wants water or nature jewels falling in Maus because they are useless and reduce chance of getting the better jewels especially in a hard map where you want better drops, not worse drops.

On the other hand however with gold elite runner chests if they didn't contain water and nature elixers the odds of getting the higher jewel elixers would go up this devaluing the jewels as well as the elixers so it's all a balancing act and it works well to appease farmers and keep prices somewhat stable for all.
