So i stopped playing this game after the halloween event in 2014 i think(when they added para) and decided to rejoin about 2 weeks ago. With the money i still had on my lvl 41 mage(bout 1mil) i made a new rogue and got it to lvl 48.
Ive been trying to merch with vanities/eggs but its not so easy as it used to be. Prices drop and rise all the time and its so annoying when u think u bought an item for cheap and then u find out u spent 2x its market value.
I bought a glint bow yesterday for 350k with 5%dex and 3% armor awaken(pretty dang awesome) and it gave me lots of dmg.
After 1 day some person said that he(she) will give me 1 rogue dream for the bow.. I looked in auction and saw that a rogue dream was 500k.....then i asked him for 2 rogue dreams and he traded those 2 dreams for my bow. I dont know what a rogue dream is as i havent reached that part of the game yet. So i thought i got a great deal for my bow(1mil) and when i looked in auction today... Price on a rogue dream dropped from 500k to 66k.. Honestly im quitting this game...

Merch isnt always winning, merch sometimes is a risk. U lose from it too, also check auction price or ask around before buying an item

As a player who quit in 2014, and came back two months ago, I can say that merching is pretty fair. I had 80k when I first came back and now I have millions of gold, all thanks to merching. I don't get the point of this thread, the auction is obviously not always right, a player listed a deary egg for 99m a few days ago, does that mean you can sell your deary eggs based on that price? As a merchant, an essential part of doing your business is to memorize the prices of the auction, to avoid being overprice-trapped. Memorize the things that you're willing to merch in, memorize that the real price of gold tyrannica is about 350k, while it is in auction for 2m for most of the time (go away from crafting items, they're usually overpriced in auc). Plus, you traded an item that was good, to an item that is unknown to you at all, and then you blamed it on the merching system? This game is adaptation, the number of players constantly realize that this game is more of a p2w game and that leaves them with two ways left to get rich, either farm or merch. Farming can only get you locks worth 6k and eggs worth 10k. So there is Maus, that you need to grind hundreds of hours to reach. That leaves players with merching as the only way to get rich. As a result, the number of merchants skyrocketed during the past years. Merching is harder, but is still a simple concept. You know a fury coat's real price is 250k, so you buy one for 150k and gain 100k. Memorizing the real prices of things in order to profit is what differs good merchants from bad merchants. I recommend you farm APs/Quests/XP till you catch up, and then learn more about merching. In case you're an early starter, just make sure to have someone experienced by your side. I don't think all of this would've happened if you asked your GM if the real price of rogue dream is 500k, for example.

Tip : Try learning all market prices befote starting to merch , or else you will fall victim to market manipulation . Also make sure you know which items sell well ( glint bow is pretty hard to sell cuz lvl46 isnt a twink zone , and the arcane weapons are way better )i suggest merching awekening gems , lepre , arcane/expensive mythic eggs, crate keys , event locks and maybe LB vanity -everything else is risky

How about you put your self into the buyers place? If the deal was actually 500k each that be 1m wich means you rip him off wich also means you and the buyer are exactly the same you literally planned to rip him as u knew it cost 500k each according to auc and bow is way lower sooo i got 1 thing to say GG

Hold on let me get this straight, you buy stuff cheap and sell them higher than you bought them for, and you're blaming others for getting less gold than you bought it for? Go farm something lol or learn the prices before you decide to merch, a lot has changed.

Tumse na hoga...

Merching is getting profit on same item .. items dont changes there attributes.. its all about catching a deal..
Someone merched on a deal with you.. He made profit.. his merching rocked. U got a lesson .. study objects before merching them.

I came across this thread and because I must be naive I thought it would be informative. Why can't people reply politely? Have a good day.

Just some tips from me if youre new mercher or just came back after quitted for a while just dont do merch collectibles :) (the price really unstable mostly youll get low profit or even worst) except you good at talking or youre a mostly known player who took the advantage to scam some fanboy/girl who trusted you by easily putting the price 999x more than the real price to sell to them

to be honest collectables are VERY easy to merch since the prices are so wobbly, you can buy it and sell it in 10 minutes for 200k more if you know prices

you proved my point :/ if you know the prices you can tell these offers are fake or you can even easier ask who made these offers and confirm with them
