Someone told me that I wasn't an officer because my guild icon is blue. I didn't even know there was a difference! Well I am am officer of Serenity but my icon is blue not grey. Everything else is fine, I can send invites and I have the boot option.

Your icon and the icon of others in your guild will show as blue. Folks in other guilds icons will look gray/goldish depending on your device. I'm not aware of any other colors designating positions in a guild, tho. *puzzles*
ETA: Nope, checked with a friend who's a GM--his shows blue. Stalked down Connir (since we're both officers in our guild) and we both show as blue. I think whoever it was that you talked to was pulling your leg. :)
