EPOICS??? Rather too EPIC

GUYS have you guys seen thew epics have been so rare in shipyard!!!!!.....i playing so many hours didnt see even 1 epic drop!!
does it drop from the mysterious figure????
if its so rare then how will one finish off their level 235 set?

Lol they are, but there is a way to get the epic items
1. You must have a lvl 35 in your party
A. From the Hacked Bot
B. From the Mysterious Figure
This pretty much sums it up :)

So far I've gotten 3 epics and some zany glasses and some of my friends haven't seen any drop so its kinda about luck.

Would expect a month or more no rush bro, it was stated that there are 3 main spines the shipyard so this is only one of them and some how they are all inter-linked.

I've been farming and here's the results,

Lvl 3 Boss - Arms Boots all classes, along with all Weapons, Shields and Recipe's.

Lvl 5 Boss - Helm, Shoulders and Chest all classes, ^same as above - Weapons, Sheilds and Recipe^

Same as Sloucho Vanity (Comedy and Tragedy)

Also lower drop rate but they do drop from Lvl 4 Bosses.

I might believe this because I've seen a lot more purple drops myself now that I am level 35 and have been playing with 35s.

They actually aren't THAT rare. My groups usually get them 10-25% of the time.

I was bored and did a study. While I was with Nawtiq (lvl 35), it was purple frenzy! So then I compared the percentage of getting loot between having a lvl 35 and without. From this study having a lvl 35 with you raises the percentage by alot. It's like scaling items. Lvls 30-32 get junk, lvls 33-34 get slightly better items and shields, and lvls 35-36 get purples. I hope this helps :D

As to what's wrote below, this has always been a known. When farming its always best to run with players around the same if not the same level as you and the gear that your farming which increases the drop rate, also a way to get people to run with same level players.

When there had been two lvl 35 in a full team had noticed this and the drop rate has been crazy! Even a few times we got 2-3 Purps per run! Not to say only that player will get the drops, anyone in the group has the chance and 'Aper' was one of them lol Lvl 33 but had the most out of all of us :p

I've only gotten two purps to drop--The Whistler and a 35 Engie helm. Those both followed Bod's rule above--gun came from the shipping bay robot and the helm from that Mysterious Dude in level 5.

It means there are all the same applies to armor, arms, helms?

The L35 is red in color while the normal ones are orange in color.

The one without "lv35" in the name is the crafted piece. So far I have customized two armor pieces, and both of them lost the "lv35" part of their name after crafting.

You can tell by amount of extra HP, MP etc. Keeps things nice and simlpe aswel :) (esp for the ones doing the gear guides :p)
