Just so that it's easier to see and accept them.
Perhaps the green font used in guild messages?

Hey, I like that idea. It gets confusing switching between your guild and friends. If someone invites you i auto look for my guild. with so many friends this is hard.

Interesting. What about a button on the Guild Charter page that also allows you to send them requests?..

It looked like there was already one, but discovered that wasn't what it actually did ;)
