Just by simply comparing the armor from the lvl 30 set to the lvl 35 set, the increase in stats is miniscule. Your character barely gets a boost considering the lvl difference in gear.

I think the commando set is pretty noticeable  If the jumps were too big, they'd have to make the enemies harder, and the people coming in to the levels would just get destroyed since they wouldn't have the new armor yet. Gotta find that balance between the maxed people and the people just able to play the maps.

I think the new stats for the gear is amazing! there were hints of what was to come in the sloucho runs, just because an item is commoner than others doesnt mean it is bad. Most players overlooked the stats of greens and yellows while just going ahead and running behind the purps and custom purps. This will only hold out till level 32-33, after which the purps and custom purps and greens are not necessarily the best. Havent seen too many greens yet, but looks like the plain old yellows are the best for class gear, this is good, but makes it costly in terms of stims for everyone. The purple gear just improves survivability with armour and is needed for speed runs and rushing to mobs without engies. The custom purps just increase armour, crit and hit I think, not sure, without really boosting the essential class stats. This is a great setup for three reasons (a) it encourages saving diff loadouts for diff kinds of runs, something which people dont do too often and (b) those who dont take the effort to get the purps, custom purps or plat gear dont suffer from much of an obivious drawback and (c) one set for combat and one set for hanging about is cool! Its still a much better gameplay experience with the purp and custom purp or plat gear, because you die a lot less and you can rush a lot more and use a lot fewer red pots, but you will have to do that with abt 10-30 points off the max possible dps/hp/mana

How is this different from the 15-20 boost or the 20-25 boost? The only reason you saw a huge boost going from 25-30 was because you went from Rare to Epic equipment. The platinum gear is a good indication of how much stat increases you'll see every 5 levels.

I will say, though, that the stat bonuses on rare equipment are starting to surpass the stat bonuses on epic equipment. If you don't care about the armor value, you can often get more DPS by wearing full rare equipment. +11 to your primary stat and +6 to your secondary stat adds up fast!
