If one wanted to cap a char from lets say L50 and wouldn't want to spend a lot of plat what would be the fastest way atm?

From L50 to 85 takes around 50 plat if you use luck vanity.
You will need to buy the 'Host all game instances' elixir and a Endgame pet such as Lat'ko, Peri'Winkle or Dev Dragon.
These pets will cost you around 5-11m and the best would be Dev dragon.

From 85 on to 100 is a bit harder, well alot harder. It's a grind that will take a while unless you have plat to spend.
I would suggest you to use the daily blessing and wait for 4x or 3x and grind on from then.
There is a special tactic to use where you stack every mob in the map (octal bog) and then use an AOE staff to kill them. I am not very familiar with this tactic myself so someone else will have to explain it.

I would agree with all of it except this, that is because daily blessings no longer reward 4x combos :) good luck with levelling also

Hey Ruby, hope you're doing great! I have no idea past l85, but i went l56-80 with < 30 plat and a high level friend (thanks Jig). Basically, you buy or borrow an endgame pet, equip it and go to Ok'tal towne, with an all access elixir and then run prison until l85. After that it's a grind, but im sure you won't mind because you're a PvE fanatic :p

There's usually not many games, but you should be able to solo the maps with a pet (Latko/Dev are the best for this). As Surf said, combine the pet with an AOE staff and just group all the mobs to the boss room and kill them all at once. Each run should take 3-5 mins solo depending on how efficient you are.

I basically soloed my way from 85-97 which is when you unlock the last map which is much faster leveling since orbs drop every map.

your fifty mage is classy though :< and the L100 sets dont look as good as the shadow sets imo
