Design the Leaderboard Back Vanity and Banner for Goblin Event!
Spoiler Alert: Goblin Event is happening again this year.
This year we want to do something extra special. There will be a leaderboard, complete with rewards, but those rewards will be designed by you.

That's right, you'll be able to create the design for some of the most sought-after vanity items in Arcane Legends!

Here's how it works:

Submission Guidelines:
+ Your submission should be at least 1000 pixels wide, 1000 pixels tall.

Submission Rules:
+ Only one design submission per person, per piece. You can submit 1 Back Vanity design and 1 Banner design.
+ Your design may not contain any content that would be against the game or forum rules such as profanity, pornography, etc.
+ Due to the size of the images, please upload your image to a third party such as dropbox, imgur, etc. and include the link with your submission. If you want to show off your design in the forum, resize to 700x700 or smaller.

Submission Deadline:
+ Designs must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on Wednesday, 2/28/2018

Prizes:
+ The winning designer of each piece will receive 500 platinum and a version of their leaderboard item in Arcane Legends. One winner for the Back Vanity, one winner for the Banner.
+ Vroom's everlasting admiration that you can draw better than he can

Justg confirmed 3 times they will NOT be bringing back PREVIOUS lb vanities award or recolour them to sell at store or as Lb vanities. He said they want to bring new stuff now. So yes, i would say it is pretty safe to expect them not to return again. :( I really wanted Ice Spirit set

Out of the context of the thread, but to answer: They said NO to get any previous LB rewards as it is for sale or reward.
Though there is no explicit answer given to recolored/modified versions of them. (kindly pm me the link to the post if you think this is wrong).

Please let me enumerate the story and reason:

This is from a old era when goblins did exist. (if they did)
There was a family who had 4 sons and they were farmers and had to work hard to sow crops for the coming harvests. But the youngest boy had no interest other than drawing.
Drawing CATS.
He kept drawing different types of cats of all colours and types and breeds on his slate.
The family was shocked by his behaviour and sent him to a sage.
This sage found some inherent potential in this boy BUT the boy never did anything but draw cats every place he found. The shrine walls wer covered with more and more cats as days passed.
The sage grew weary and sent him out of the shrine. He was sad as no one liked him for what he was.When he returned home,he was thrown out by his family since he was expelled from the Hermits ashram.
One that night, legend speaks he did something that shook the beliefs of many people even today.
THAT rainy cold night he wondered haplessly with only his slate and charcoal. He took refuge in a cave in the outskirts of a forest.
It was dark and pitchy. He was cold and decided to forget his suffering by indulging again in his hypnotic interest.
He took his chalk and glazed the cave walls with the drawing of different cats.
And he fell into a deep deep slumber while in the process.

That cave belonged to a goblin rat who used to attack and devour children who wearily passed through that dense part of the forest.
He returned for his rest after feasting.
The last thing that was recorded or even IMAGINED was the goblin rat going into the cave.

There was a terrible gruesome squeals of screams in that cave that night.

The next morning. The nearby village folk gathered there to see what had happened and what they saw IS!! ::

The boy is sleeping in the middle of the cave just how he went to sleep that night. But there was no sign of the goblin. But....

Each of the 17 cats he drew to pass away his suffering in the cave had a small streak of blood dripping out of their teeth and tongues and all of them seemed to be looking at the boy.

Many people made this boy a hero as he was considered to slay the horrendous goblin rat that was terrorising their village but little does the boy know what happened and he could not give an answer when they asked how he slew the beast.

So guys sorry i try to dramatise certain parts which accounted to long...ness of this.I found this fascinating and...

WHAT THIS IMPLIES IN GAME:

The players who wear /obtain this during LB event goblin will portray that he has vanquished the nasty goblins with all the Arlorians but emerged victorious and has a goblin-ling dangling as his small pet from the bark of a tree where on there is a small cat checking if the goblin is doing any naughty things while the hero is on his Arlorian conquests.

I also want to add if the goblin with small animations like moving of hands and legs and mainly DANGLING SIDE TO SIDE.. All others can be stationary.. THIS WILL LOOK REALLY GOOD.

I would like to see some more vanities or items with particle effects and not just auras.. I think the game has evolved to such a greatness aldready.

TRIED TO MAKE IT AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE..Truly Sorry for people who hate to read a lot

"Dobaekku" is a goblin that causes bad luck according to indigenous beliefs.
People coexisted that era with these mythical creatures.
DOBAEKKU are classified as they hate blood but do mischievios things that caused misfortune.
Once there lived a poor man. A Dobaekku approached him one day. He greeted it with some alcohol so they became friends. Time pass as did their friendship grew thick and thicker.
But one day when the old man went into the forest to collect fodder for his cattle,he saw his reflection in a pond and was shocked for he looked like a Dobaekku itself. He grew scared and planned to cut friendship with it.He thought he was transforming into one. That evening the dobaekku came to his place. He enquired what his biggest fear was and the reply as blood. The old man told him that his biggest fear was money.
The next day when the Dobaekku came.. The old man had splattered the blood of his cow on the porch. The dobaekku got angry at this and brought the man the item of his great fear... Bags of gold.
He left them at his porch and was never to be seen again. The old man was the richest in the town thereafter.

Sooooo...
I drew this as a backpack unit where a small goblin was strapped onto the back of our hero with its arms and legs shaking all about trying to get away from us.

WHAT THIS IMPLIES IN CONTEXT:

In one hand it is bringing gold and on another hand it is carrying a mop to clean the blood.

The pic does not look like a bag but this is basically a live goblin thrashing about with its arms and legs trying to get out while holding onto the gold bag and mop.

Description (optional): I wanted to go with a story based banner. This is why I used one of my favourite artists works with dragons to recreate this masterpiece in pencil. It is very different from all the depressing skulls, magical circles and shapes and very different from usual stuff sts makes ( I am aware some people find this 'cool' ). This teaches us to connect with others as the girl tries to connect with dangerous dragon representing the struggle people have in real life with differences. It promotes individuality, emotion and connection ( at least to me ). This is relevant to this event because it reminds me of how different all my friends are in AL e.g. nationality, age and heights etc but we still connect in one way or another.

You can colour as you want and even edit it to make it look cooler.

Blender and SketchUp are decent, but as for submitting meshes.. I think it won't happen as it's safer for STS to download/view an image as reference for creating the banner/backpack instead of downloading a risky file containing the 3D mesh. :(

Description: The goblin on the banner is a valiant knight of the highest rank in the army of an elite group of evolved goblins who are very wise and have offered their help to the heroes of Arcane Legends to help curb their immature enemy clan and hence carry a special shield to prove their allegiance.The sword has nature power and brings the wearer health and supports in his quest by fighting from the top ( awesome idea). The back vanity is a goblin who is constantly flipping a coin(adding animation would be cool) and using his magic to bring good luck to the wearer of the backback. This increases the player's gold loot. So gold, pillage, and VICTORY!!!!!
Btw while drawing the goblin I had a thought that maybe we could have another class that looks like the goblin on the banner, what do u think? :)

Description : The goblin on the banner is from a much more evolved race of goblins who have now pledged allegiance to AL and its heroes. They want to clear the bad name of goblins by teaching their brothers a lesson. The animations I suggest are that the sword of the goblin could have a green/purple aura signifying natural and peaceful power which if you like may have the feature of being able to regenerate health for the wearer. The goblin in top could be made movable and fightable so that it can attack from the top.
The back vanity shows a mage flipping a coin(add animation) which he does while uttering incantations which give the wearer extra gold loot and prosperity in the form of luck. So, PROSPERITY AND VICTORY FOR ARLORIANS!!!!
The goblin I made could be made as another class, what do you think?

Description (optional): Skull of a goblin boss (yes the new boss has big horns ;)) on a enchanted staff, because you cant touch it with your bare hands. Additional flag to show your presence and a totem to keep bad juju away. Lets see if you can figure out what is engraved on the totem ;)

This banner has a goblin skull and I added some well known trinkets to hang off the bone of the banner, those being Bloodgrub's tail and the famous cleansing stone. :) I added a multicoloured smoke particle effect as you can see in the image, I think it adds a nice touch to the banner.

Description: I made a goblin banner by hand in which a goblin in full battle armour and AL shield is shown. The story behind the alliance of the goblin is that these goblins are much more evolved and wiser goblins who wish to civilise and bring down their enemy clan. The recommended for animation and special abilities and effects is that the sword has nature power so it can HV green aura and the gems in the armour and the sword have purple/blue aura. The banner goblin may be made movable and be able to fight alongside the wearer or give health and DMG+crit buff.
The goblin in the bag is of the good fortune goblin who brings good luck to ppl around him(luck+gl loot buff) His action of flipping a coin and uttering incantations could be animated. This clan of goblins had been hidden by the greedy goblins for 1000s of years now it has extended its support to the heroes of Arlor. So Victory and Prestige are on the way for all good fighting souls. Hope you consider my submission I HV put my heart and soul into it :)
