Been playing the game for a while and just registered to the forums to bring this up since I don't think anyone has or even noticed this, but while playing, once in a while when you die, it counts as if you've died twice. I'm one of those players who keep track of death to keep a kill death ratio going (<1% death) so I know how many deaths I have. I've noticed that this mostly happens when you die REALLY fast. Perfect example was when I was playing a couple nights ago in shipyard level 5 (reactor core deck), I was playing as my operative and as other players were in the process of killing the mobs, they turned their attention to me giving me all the aggro. They killed me instantly with no time to even react to heal myself with stims. My death count, at the time, was 61 deaths, but as soon as I died, it jumped to 63...? This has happened playing on my commando and even more times on my engineer since it's even squishier than the other two classes. If there could be a once in a lifetime death count reset I'd be extremely happy, but I know that's asking too much so can we at least get this bug fixed? I know some of you might say to try and go zero deaths, but let's face it, that's REALLY hard and quite an achievement to those who do it. And there're some of you who don't care how many times you die, but I'm here to point out a bug/glitch to get it fixed so please don't flame me for trying to point that out.

I'm skeletonlord and I am here to help you. I haven't noticed in game yet so I cannot comment yet but I know what you mean. You mean that when you die, the count goes up by 2?

Yeah. That's exactly what I mean. It counts a single death twice.

Yep happened to me once, and a whole bunch of time to a friend who frequently dcs... but (I blv) thats because of a ping well this is what happens I think you dc from the server, your char dies, you get back in, theres a 1 death thingy, then you are low on health so you die again, I had a zerodeath whose death count jumped to 2 in one ping of death

Funny enough iv noticed this too! Kinda got confused yesterday thinking my death count was 30-31 on BodMastJR (Bunch of times on BodMasta) checked and it said 32.. when I die I shout out my death count too. So if a dev wantsbtocheck out my chat log for 28-29-30 ect go ahead :) (Be something like "28 :(" etc.)

Just to add a note, this has happened even before the implementation of the shipyard campaign.

As for the bug, I've noticed this also but it normally happens when Im lagging. If you die and there's an engineer, I don't know if the game registers you as dying, but then the engineer health will briefly kick in, and you die again. But that's what it seems like when it happens to me.

when you dc 3 things keep happening - your enhancer keeps running, you can die (twice) and you can still get item drops, engies cannot buff a char who has been dc, we tried doing that, maybe that should be allowed
also just to note, the camera animation and second death only happens after you get back in the game from dc, the first death i suppose happens sometime before this after you dc

Used to happen in PL and (I'll have to find the thread) the explanation was that you "died" but your char failed to carry out the normal death graphic--you stayed upright and thanked your lucky stars for healing fast enough, but you hadn't. So, death count goes up one. Then, when you die "for real" the next time, fall over and say bad things under your breath, you notice that first death that you didn't really see and it looks like your count went up by two. These were in addition to dying by ping/lag.

(My apologies for what is the most-convoluted looking thing in the whole world. :/ In my defense, I can only state it sounded better in my head than it does written down. More coffee!)

Yah same....i fell it happens only for lagging and DC....whats your ping??....it happens to me manu times cause i have an average ping of 1.2k+ as i play on EDGE....so according to me no need to worry :p its not a BUG!

Had it happen yesterday and it was the same as the PL one--my Comm got hit with a proximity mine and I couldn't see any health showing, but didn't die. Wound up shortly after next to another mine (I'm a slow learner), that one blew, I died and my death count jumped from 1 to 3 (sob!). So, my assumption is that Nuke actually died from the first mine, and even though the "death sequence" didn't trigger, the death still counted.

it happened to me too today....i still think its for my ping

Could be more than one cause, Rittik. Bad ping/lag causes a lot of problems. :( My ping was stable between 88-100 which is very good for me.

no, its not ping or lag, its a straight out glitch. at least in the new levels, will maybe confirm on another twink

also, the health bar is not left over after stimming or using empathy, it simply stops dropping after that point where it appears as a glitch

PS: if platform details is imp this happened on both iPhone 3GS and Chrome
