Should already have max drain by now.

Drain is most important. Max out blessings of might as well... Very important. The other skills like fire and lighting take lower priority.

I wouldn't max drain life at 35 if he intends to do PvE. For PvP, I would agree. In PvE putting some points in debuffs make more sense IMO, because they allow your entire party to deal more dmg (nightmare), or take less dmg (weakness). But in the end it's also personal preference I guess.

For twink, drain is vital.

Truth be told, for nuking, dex/int works better at this level than pure.

If you have max drain and land a critical hit then it can do 200+ damage and heal 50% health. O.o

Drain has a far too long cooldown and it's only single target dmg. Drain for twinking (PvE) is only useful in boss fights and the occasional single enemy that you want to take out quickly. And if your drain misses, you'll have to wait for the long cooldown to use it again. Isn't it more usefull do allow all players to deal more dmg as compared to a single shot with long cooldown and chance to miss?

Edit: don't get me wrong, I think drain should definitely be maxed, just not at lv35 yet.

If you are low in health and heal is unavialable drain is useful with its 12m range.

Since I'm talking about PvE, wouldn't using a health pot make more sense?

Maybe the person just ran out of health pots? o.O

I have to agree with this. At that level drain isn't as important.
I personally like drain maxed out at higher levels like 60 plus. It find
it helps my mage take on a stronger attack and not just a support role in games...
Example After using my max level buffs to help party and take agro I will hit drain
in heat of battle to help keep life while having mob frozen then lightening followed by
firestorm. At a lower level while still getting used to character I didn't see the need for max
drain in pve nor do I now. Just my supporting opinion.
