I lost my item after an upgrade

There was an option to upgrade my weapon for 10 k...the item is Tainted Love Rifle of Knowledge for mage.. And i upgrade and cancelled it... After that my gun was gone, it's not in my inventory and stash and I searched it for thousands of times already... Please help me get it back...
