How do I put a link to another thread or website I am on the iPod app?

Not sure what app is considered "the iPod app" so I'm going to tell you how to do this the two ways I know. Basically you should visit the page that you want to link to and cut the URL from that page. After you have that you can simply paste that URL here like this: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?39844-Guide-Reputation-system or you can use the built in utility which is the picture of a globe with chain links (looks like an infinity sign) in the lower left hand corner; highlight the word(s) and click that symbol and paste the URL in the box: Click HERE (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?39844-Guide-Reputation-system). Notice how the words are blue on the "Click HERE" that's what's known as hyperlinking.

One of those methods should work for you, if neither do try replying back with the app that you're using and I'll test some other things and give you something specific that works for that app.

On the spacetime studios app there is no URL

Just downloaded the app and I don't see links at all or hyperlinks so I'd say cut and paste the link from Safari. Otherwise wait for an upgrade to the app.

Also when I post using the app it's apparent on the website via the "posted from iPhone app" message. I don't see that on your posts.

Or use the (paid) tapatalk app. There's a function 'share link' in there, it allows you to copy a link to your clipboard (or send via mail). But yeah, that's not free.

Nah glad you found your way here :) and as Glut' said no app indication at the bottom of your post so guessed you were using a browser.
