Ever asked yourself what a mage is? I know they are Enchatresses by official name but what are they?
For comparison, we all know Avians are birds (hawks, eagle, penguins etc...)
And Warriors are Bears (Ursans)
But whats a mage?
If I had to pick one based on the animal theme present in the other two classes I'd say they are SQUIRRELS!!!!! Or maybe a fox or a cat.
The faces don't shed too much light except for the lynx cat face (dodge one)
So community, voice your opinion. I will keep a tally or votes and see what the majority says Enchantresses are.

I don't about animals but they sure do look like elves or something because of the pointed ears.

They are elves. Could be based on an animal, but all PL literature calls them elves.

I believe the accepted race name is Elf. People just don't call them that as widely as the class name itself. Nothing debatable or controversial here.

Maybe Gargamel was experimenting with smurfs and created a hybrid smurf/squirrel, which he bred for their tasty meat.. The magic skills are a side effect of the gene splicing process.

Bears and birds got different faces for the different species of bears and birds (grizzly, panda, cardinal, penguin etc.) and mages got a tiger face, so they're OBVIOUSLY cats ;)

Sticking w Squirrel since they live nearest to birds and bears. Maybe not so much penguins polar bears and such.
Cat is my runner up choice.
They could be Sqats!!!
