Turning Good Looking Junk armor into Vanity

I've been thinking about this - What if, instead of just insta-liquidating rare/epic armor, you were able to turn it into a vanity if you tried it on and like how it looks.

For example, you loot an epic armor, and try it on. You like the way it looks, but it has horrible stats, so you apply an item (plat?) to turn it into a vanity.

Would make things more unique and would make looting common, rare, and epic items worthwhile.

Or turning expensive armor into a vanity just for the heck of it.

This has been a long-time discussion. I was hoping that would be exactly what happens when justG made reference to a possible vanity shard system.

Hopefully this is a new system implemented soon that let's you take any armor/equipment that currently drops in maps and turns it into a vanity. Probably will be expensive but it would be so cool!

I like this idea. ☺️ There are lots of armours for all classes that would make nice vanities. I would like..oh I can't remember exactly name..been a while, bandit I think it's called, made into a vanity.

How about a ring and amulet vanity? >.> We have some pretty good auras and lights in there.

Brings back memories. 🙂 Does the same person design the ones we have now? The old armours do look better. Having said that, probably the nostalgia factor makes them seem that way.

I can’t find the post, but I believe a dev stated it’s not easy to implement for all armors, to many layers involved.

Dusk/Luminary armor is so ugly/boring.. The sorcerer Mythic armor (lifeless husk/iron lung) doesn't look good...

I think people would pay a lot of plat to have a custom looted vanity! Seriously, I don't know why Common,Rare, and Epic items even drop, I can't remember the last time I even clicked on one to check the stats. It's just insta-liquidate.

Last I checked, that only works with that specific armor and helm, not all types of mythics. And there are a lot of cool other armors of rare, legendary etc. that deserve to be vanities.

Because there’s already a recipe system that converts a “specific” armor into vanity. Instead of making every armor ingame a vanity wouldn’t it be nicer to see new vanities in the future ?I don’t see why just wearing your desired armor like most others isn’t enough.
