Overall STS definitely made it not be worth the gold. On the short run you can gain gold, but overall, you end up losing.
(Personally, I spent 5m and only got 4 weapons)

Smart from STS, should be a good gold sink.You've gotta keep in mind, it is a gamble. People will end up losing gold but some can make tons too. It's all statistically based. :/

To all those that complain, this is gambling, exactly like platinum and locked crates. If you never did locked crate open now you can experience that feeling using your gold. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Perfect goldsink before expansion.

Dont be so clueless. As a gold sink , the low price is drawing the wrong clientele. The Big money ppl are waiting and snapping up the weapons from auction or direct trade. They have no need to sink their own gold. If the crates were much higher the common player might not risk his funds. Then the big rollers would have to buy the crates them selves.

This is a better explanation than your last statement, well said. For most of the high rollers they can risk 1m+ easily. Most of us have over 1m worth of maus tokens shop items (coffers/10k chest) just sitting waiting to be bought if we need gold. I'm seeing lower levels rage quit and cause of 150-500k loss or 500-1m loss for buying the gold hat vanity but I'm offtrack now. Lowering the 1m liquidating cost to 500k would drastically reduce the amount of players opening crates . Would leave it for the high rollers to keep up with supply and demand, thoughs?

I noticed that you refer to the vanities as ‘Encrusted Weapons’. Call me far fetched but so these happen to have any relation to the expansion? Kind of like how mythic armor can be turned into a vanity... a reversal?

Its a gamble but one needs to know when to "stop", set a budget and work off that. Don't gamble what u can't make back fast. I used 300k at a time cause that's only a few m6-6 runs. Looted gun within 5 chest then sword within 15
