I was just double checking, for the current PvP guild event, any guild that earns 50k points gets access to the Gold Tier farming zone and vendor. Is this correct?

Yes, that's correct. Cinco said so in the pvp forums a few days ago. You'll have many guilds with access to the tier they earned enough points for. Not just one guild per tier. An inclusive event :)
