An ancient evil returns to threaten the peace of Elondria!

Four years (!) ago, the vile troll Ursoth opened a portal and assaulted Arlor from his native realm of Elondria. An Orc Blood shaman named Bloodgrub discovered one of Ursoth's portals but was soundly defeated before she could prevail. Bloodgrub, having dealt in dark magic her whole life, has discovered a new way to grow in power, and she is spreading her corruption throughout Arlor. Now the Elondrian Rangers need your help. Help them fight off Bloodgrub's corruption and return Elondria to its natural splendor!

Ursoth's Assault will run for 2 weeks, starting on Thursday, 7/26/18 ~1:30 PM CT and ending on Thursday, 8/9/18 at 1:30pm CDT.

How to Play

It begins by talking to an Elondrian Ambassador in most major cities. You can also go to Elondria via the Main Map.

Energy

Energy is used to enter the portal to fight Ursoth's Assault bosses. One energy point will refill automatically every 8 hours. Refill your energy faster by collecting energy essences from monsters all around Arlor and crafting them into energy kits. Rarely, bosses will drop an entire energy point to fill one energy slot. Or, purchase Energy Kits from other players via the Consignment Shop for gold. You may also purchase energy for platinum at the Elondria token vendor or as you enter the portal in town.

Enter the portal in Elondria to visit the event boss zone to defeat the newly corrupted bosses and earn loot and tokens to trade for limited edition items and vanities. There are 5 bosses to fight in Ursoth's Assault. Harder bosses may appear at higher tiers and grant more rewards and tokens. Defeat bosses to earn points and progress through the tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum to fight:

+ Herond the Forest Sprite
+ Europhex the Basilisk
+ Helena, Lady of the Forest
+ The Great Troll Ursoth

Then, an extra special boss: Bloodgrub.

Bloodgrub's Altar becomes active after you have killed one of the corrupted bosses in the Event Zone. Using Blood Grub's Doll will open a portal to BloodGrub's Fane, granting temporary access to everyone in the immediate vicinity. This portal will always take you to Bloodgrub.

BloodGrub's Doll (replaces Unicorn food) is composed of components from the event and the main world.

Players craft Bloodgrub Dolls from store purchased Energy Kits and Specific Bloodgrub ingredients:

- Cracked Nature Jewels x4 (Rare)
- Bloodgrub Hair x5 (tradeable, stashable) Drops from everywhere in the world
- Bloodgrub Visage x1 (Legendary, tradeable, stashable) Drops from the lesser and greater free to open chests during the event
- Rotten Branch x4 (tradeable, stashable) Drops from enemies in the Event Zone
- Creeping Rot x 9 (tradeable, stashable) Drops from bosses in the Event Zone at all tiers
- Event Energy Kits x2 (tradeable, stashable) Purchased from the Token Vendor for Platinum

Bane Item: Elondrian Ward

The bane item will return this year with a minor twist. Using a Recipe dropped from Bloodgrub and Ursoth players can now craft an upgraded version of the Elondrian Ward that will also grant them extra damage in the event zone!

Tiered Rewards

Defeat the event bosses to gain points and fill the tiers from Bronze to Platinum. Each tier will grant you special loot only available during this event.

At bronze tier you'll receive 25 Tokens to spend at the Vendor.

At Silver Tier you'll receive 3 Ethereal Elondrian 2018 Chests, which have a chance to drop Epic and Legendary gear, Squeakems 'n' Squish squirrel pet (Legendary) or Wylenor, the Unicorn pet (Mythic).

At gold tier you'll receive an all new Heroic Wylenor pet! You will also receive two Elondrian Furnishing Chests, with a chance to loot some rad furniture.

And, finally, at Platinum Tier you receive a new title: "Elondrian Hero". Available only to those who go above and beyond to reach the highest event tier. You will also receive the Ashen Fairy Wings, and an Ursoth's Assault Farmer's Elixir. This Elixir significantly increases drop rates in the event dungeon, and will remain active for the entirety of the event.

Oh, and one more thing, Plat Tier will also receive the Ornate Coleoptera Time Piece.

The Top 50 Leaderboard Winners (for each class) will receive: 100 Ankhs

And the lucky Top 10 Players for each class receive: Ornate Coleoptera Vanity set (head and body), "Corruption Crusher" title, Heroic Dovabear egg, a Precise Jewel, Woodland Grandeur Banner and 100 Ankhs!

The leafy chest is the most common and will drop off of event bosses. These chests have a chance to drop epic gear, a couple of legendary sets (Corrupted Spirit), gold, ankhs and energy kits. They can also be combined to craft....

Ethereal chests. These rare chests sometimes drop off of The Great Troll Ursoth and Bloodgrub, or can be obtained by combining 3 Leafy Chests at the Crafting Station.

Elondrian Furnishings Chests. These rare chest can be purchased from the token vendor and have a chance to drop from Bloodgrub. Chest will contain exclusive Elondrian furniture that includes an interactive heroic squirrel feeder! Chest will only be available during the event and will cost 20 plat to open...

Snag the recipe(s) from the token vendor to craft this special edition locked crate using Massive Twilight Crates. These crates have a chance to drop anything from a regular Locked Crate, but also includes some awesome items. The recipes will allow you to continue to craft Grand Crates of Elondria even after event has concluded!

These crates can contain Mishi's Egg, Wylenor's egg, Heroic Gold Tyranica's Egg, New Nature's Thicket Vanity Weapons, and all new Mireguard 'Set' Artifacts for Level 71

Great new add, the artifact and vanity weapons look great as well.
Just simple stuff like LB banner matters and motivates players to spend $$$ on event and grind hard, recolor just leaves a bad aftertaste.

Anyway, it looks good. To be honest not very very exciting since I'll be playing this event for the fifth time now, and the changes aren't very big, but it's cool.

By the way, the Elder Druid vanity has a different color in game now? That one in the OP is more like the Wilting Totem or whatever it's called.

Also, Mireguard has been a 6 piece set this whole week, so it's staying like that?

And another question, why is 12% Gold Loot removed from Mireguard set bonus? They have the exact bonus as Nightmare, but no GL. :D

Back vanity is cool, but I'm bummed out that the new unicorn pet is literally a reskin of Tyrannica. I already have 2 Tyrannicas already. I do not see myself going through 4 Tyrannicas in my stable. I'm starving for new toys to play around with.

That's a good question. The Grave Things look like event bosses. Hopefully it will be a new boss fight during this event. With good drops.

The event is, of course a recolor. It makes me mad, it makes others mad, but to new players it's their first time seeing it, it's not a recolor to them. I was really optimistic about events for this year when you asked us to design lb banner and backpacks for the Goblin Event, but you've reverted once again. No new arcane item? And what's the point of getting a new set with bonuses that work in maps where the enormous stats are not essential to it, may help a little, but not essential. The map doesn't present a challenge and the new stats won't work in maps that are fun to run, such as the maus where you made the nightmare set viable in. I can't forsee me running too much of the deep, or ever looking at that swamp again *shudders* So will we see something new added, or is this our greatest expansion? Wow that stretched farther than intended.

I got to say, the new artifacts are better than lv50 mythic ones (about 35-40m). But let us see the drop rates of these, who knows? Might be a rare loot as ava belts or marvel suits. Some people asked why no arcanes, because they wouldn't want to sneak them just yet ;).

What will these new artifacts affect? Well its obviously lv30 Arcane Artis are dropping, perhaps lv50 mythics too and possibly the lv60 Arcanes, as people will be discouraged crafting it an further. But this all depends on the drop rate.

Another is Mishi, we could all agree that Mishi should be involve in this event once again, afterall, you have decided to simply disable us to craft ALL chests with recipes, chests are skyrocketing. And it would be a benefit to you, aswell as the players as more will open those chests. People who are affected by these would be players who have been keeping the egg, but I think this will favour more people happy then those who aren't.

Lastly, the recolors. It is true that you did added some effort in some (vanities), but c'mon, this being a MAJOR EVENT, and showing us with a recolored LB Banner and pets is just wrong. Another Heroic Dova just calls for a recycled one, heroic mishi will be favoured more if so. A fan art contest could've been the best option if we knew that a crucial component of the event will just be joked around.

Those are my thoughts about the preview. Hoping they could change the lb banner, and consider that giving the same heroic egg is just discouraging.

The Mireguard is a six (6) piece set. The gold loot bonus from the basic set was removed because gold loot enchantments are OP

The Massive Twilights don't drop anymore but they can be crafted from Large Twilights which do still drop. Current Festerfang crates appear to be equivalent in rarity to the 'Large Twilights' but there is no 'Massive Festerfang' to craft.

It's ok. A lot has been done before this event, what with the expansion etc. so can't grumble. I was never a fan of the bloodgrub vanity because of the tail..still have the first one though. I have tried to hide the tail with other things but it still pokes out. I don't like dresses because there are no ballrooms..a nice handbag wouldn't go amiss. So I shall just concentrate on running the event and decide what to use my tokens for late on. I was hoping for a girly mage outfit, I still hope that one day it will happen. I don't know why I'm typing this, nobody takes any notice of me. 😔

I'm fine with recolors it really doesn't bother me much and I happen to enjoy the recolors most of the time but this isn't a recolor. Every year we've had a different color dress that matches the wings which has been awesome because I know many rogues love to wear the wings with the dress. I know I mentioned changing it to purple, "Electric Purple" this year but honestly those new Ashen wings are op. I would sooo love to see a dress that matches those wings, such as "Electric Ashen wings".😍😍

Please please Gary, make it happen for us rogues who love to be shiny 😘😘
