If you already have some plat pending, you may not be able to buy more. I have had this problem a lot of times, and all you need to do is give it some time. It isn't space-time studios not making you get the plat, it is over at apples side. A lot of people may be buying items for example and you cannot connect properly

Try going through STS' website and either Amazon or Google. Not sure if it's faster, but it's another option.
