So ive answered a question lots of people are concerned with. If you dont have an unlimited plan on your phone but you still wanna play PL the answer is you can but at the cost of roughly 9.4MB per hour of 30 min farming and 30 minute pvp plus a bit of time in town. So i hope it answers all your questions. I used the app Traffic Statistics to record these results over my home wifi connection which should be very similar to what you pick up on a 3.5G network.

Thanks, but next time keep everything in one thread. Instead of making a new thread for the answer and taking up space, you could've done that as a post.

But the usage will not run up while on wifi right?

I average 10mb per hour when playing on my iPhone, so the statistics should be roughly correct. The iPhone 4 and 4S might be a little more because because of the amount of pixels the screen has, which is considerably more than any other phone on the market.

Pixels wouldn't change the amount of data, would they? I have the same data usage playing BF3 in 1080p or in 1024x768.

Never seen a game that would do it like that.

No, pixel density has nothing to do with data usage. As an aside, there are a couple android devices that are within a few pixels per inch of the iPhone, and a much larger screen, at that. ;-)

Oic, I heard from somebody that the amount of pixels can increase the amount of data. Maybe just another tech rumor, lol. :)

Think of it like a water spigot, even if you put a bigger hose on it, you won't use anymore water. You'll still get the same amount. :) it's a poor anaology, I know, but I'm tired and too lazy to think of something else.

Am I still using data if I'm on wifi?

When on wifi, it does not count against your monthly limit on data, just 3g/4g does.

ok guys this average should pretty much be on any device connected to an internet connection. doesn matter bout OS or pixel density lol at all. the average of playing PL i would say is anywehere inbetween 8-11MB depends on what you do during that time. If you farm on a locked game it shud only average till 8 if u spend lots of time in town it will average possibly up till 11MB. Hopefully this answers all quetions. I could see why u think this since 2GB isnt a high limit but if u average it out over 10mb per hour you can play PL 6.5 hours a day for 30 days which is a lot of time (for me it would be anyway maybe you PL more). Plus im sure ur using wifi for at least 50% of ur PL play. So 2GB is plenty for an online game which pushes roughly only 2.4kb/s lol
