Something changed on Google's end of things that broke Google account logins on iOS. Unfortunately fixing it from our side if things requires an app update. The update has been submitted - it usually takes 1-2 days for Apple approval before it's released.

Hmmmm i use iphone to play and was able to log in with no problem.

i can log in but i am still having many random disconnects despite my connection being great and my ping green. usually happens in towns :/
