I was comparing it to ice and noticed lightning does less damage than ice on a single elite mob target (counting dots from ice). I then tested on a 12k armor tank in pvp. I did 3 attacks of each skill and the average damage caused by lightning was 3% damage. Ice averaged 11% damage.

Being that ice is multiple target, freezes and is supposed to do less damage, leads me to think there's a bug.

Can we get a dev to look at this?

I tested again on a tank to see if lightning is bugged. These are the results:

Charged weapon attack: 94% hp, 94% hp, 94% hp
Charged Ice (after dots) 90% hp, 90% hp, 93% hp
Charged Lightning: 95% hp, 95% hp, 95% hp

I tested on rogue too, just in case the bug was with tank armor or something. These are the rogue results:

Charged weapon attack: 80% hp (crit), 90% hp, 91% hp
Charged Ice (after dots): 84% hp, 84% hp, 83% hp
Charged Lightning: 92% hp, 93% hp, 93% hp

pretty clear that light is bugged. The percentage is how much hp they had left so the higher number means less damage. My lightning even has mastery but still less than regular weapon attack. Please look into this if possible.

Yes I feel there is an issue. I tested the skills (normal and charged) on the same target multiple times and everytime damage from Frost Bolt was higher.
Tested with only base skills with no upgrade or mastery.
Note that both skills have same minimum and maximum damage when no upgrades are taken, so I dealy the damage output should also align on similar bracket.

I think it will be good if a dev can quickly check on this. Thanks.

Can we please get a dev to shine some light on this? It's a major bug that 99% of mages won't notice cuz it's not obvious
