Legendary Pistol + Legendary Shield bonus

I was fortunate enough today to get a fancy Nova Blaster to drop for me on my third pink run of the night. Taking a look at the difference in stats by equipping/unequipping the pistol and shield, I have determined the following:

Nova Blaster + Electro-Blocker = +5/+5 DMG, +2% HIT
Visual Effects: green orb floaties
Combat Effects: none observed

Electrorazer + Electro-Blocker = same as above

Electrorazer + Blackstar Shield = same as above

The Guttersnipe + Electro-Blocker = same as above

Please post any other pistol/shield set bonus here and I'll update the original post. I'm curious to see if the bonus is the same or different with all possible combinations.

Note: So far the bonus appears to be the same for any combination of pink pistol/pink shield. I have also not observed any different visual effects nor combat effects.

I have tried it with a electrorazor/shield and the bonus was the same. I tried it with both the electro-blocker and the blackstar shield and the bonus was the same.

WOAH YOU ARE LUCKY! But, unfortunately, your post is irrelevant to this thread. :(

I just tried a nova blaster + blackstar shield and the bonus seems to be the same, I think its safe to say that either way you go the bonus is 2% hit and 5 damage.

All the multiple combinations offer the exact same set bonus (Any legendary pistol + any platinum legendary shield). Hope that helps.

Also, like the visual animations with the full custom armor sets (Operative=Lightning, Engineer=Smoke, Commando=Bubbles), combing any legendary pistol with any legendary shield will have a visual of, "green like bubbles/sparkles" flowing from the back. If you are a Commando with full custom, it is hardly noticeable.


I like to joke around with guildies and say they are variations of Skittle by products. Though the commandos produce Skittles, engineers seem to get that weird Skittle dust that appears at the bottom of sour Skittles, and the operatives produce "taste the rainbow" Skittle lightning.
