And is a well trained elite keyboard warrior veteran.

If this person is harassing you, certainly report the harassment. While it might be a minor incident and yes, you can use ignore, one can hope that eventually such harassment reports will accumulate and be noticed, at which point, yes, his chat logs will be checked.
Report and ignore for your own peace of mind.

Ignorance is a bliss, and the best part is that it ticks them off so bad xD
I dont block players, its fun to see them spam me and loose their mind when I dont respond :)
