How to use xp, haste, regen, etc pots

I purchased an xp pot, expecting it to show up where my other potions were, but it never showed up.

Does this mean that as soon as I purchased the pot, then it became active? Or, is there something I need to do? Or, did I not actually get it purchased?

Also, does the pot run its course pre-maturely if you die?

Yes, once purchased its active, you have 5 mins to utilize it, so better don't die or get disconnected :p
